I do not think finishing 3rd in the state tournament is struggling. The kid lost 7 times during the season, and think how hard Wadsworth's schedule really is... That's growing pains?
Tavanello was a stud coming out of middle school, and in my opinion, he lived up to the hype. Like I said, he lost seven times with a tough Wadsworth schedule and finished 3rd in the state, far from a "struggling" year. Not to mention, the #1 kid in the country was the state champ that year.
3rd in the state at any weight class in Ohio, are you kidding me? Some people have distorted views on what constitutes success.
