10. ?

Another team that's pretty decent from the north is Hoban. They may not be up to the caliber as the south teams but I could see them at the ten spot. I say that only because I've seen them play and haven't seen other schools such as Pick North play.

St. X and Elder will be close this year because both lost the majority or their starting talent from last year and will be filling spots with younger kids. Kurtz for X will be a game changer as will averbeck from elder... It's all just up to coaching and how well the up coming juniors fill the empty spots

all four teams from the gcl south will not be top four or top five in the state. its safe to say that moeller is #1 and st x is behind them, but i just dont think elder or lasalle will be that good; not to say that they wont make top ten in the state, but definately not top four

i strongly believe the 4 gcl south teams are tops in the state, with the only one close to them being ed's, since centerville lost their top player

Moeller has a pretty good chance of winning state. If Moeller, God Forbid, chokes in the tournament i beleive that X or Elder have a good chance ofwinning it. I dont know much about Lasalle. We will just have to see. Go Moeller, Go GCL

someone said he broke his leg
we scrimmage centerville on thursday -- should be interesting to see how they are -- thats really unfortunate for him

im starting to think st.edwards and worthington kilbourne are over mt.vernon. pat blubaugh isn't going to make that big of an impact is st.x supposed to be as good, who do they have. same with elder? ur probally right about st.ed's over kilbourne but idk, season hasnt even started.

1. Moeller
2. Elder
3. St.Xavier
4. St.Edwards
5. Worthington Kilbourne
6. Centerville
7. Mt.Vernon
8. Hilliard Darby
9. Pickerington North
10. **who?

Blubaugh is the type of kid who teams are forced to work their gameplan around. Hate to tell you, but Blubaugh is the best player in the East region and will have a tremendous impact on the success of Mount Vernon's season.

As for your rankings, did you draw them out of a hat? No way Kilbourne is #5.

Blubaugh is easily the most complete player in the region, but if they have him set again in the backrow, i think they are only hurting themselves by taking out a valuable backrow attack... orsbourne's not bad either, and should provide whatever support blubaugh needs... if fifa'it switched mt vernons and kilbournes places in his rankings, id say hes about right

We scrimmaged them tonight. They are still pretty good but missing strasser really hurts them. They might not be an all state team too early but by the end of the season they should be pretty well off.

i believe the setter is now playing at osu as a libero... not sure if he gets much playing time though- the one game that i saw he didnt dress, although neither did kehoe

Brian Kues who was an outside walked on to OSU's varsity team after playing on the club team and has played in almost every game all season as a DS. Kehoe is redshirting correct as i believe is Ryan Versen (Centerville, walk-on) and Sean Martin (St. Ed's, walk-on)

Don't think they will. Pretty sure they have a setter to play all the way around this year.

Don't hold me to it, I could be wrong.

I don't go to Lasalle... I don't like Lasalle... But I disagree with the people saying they won't be top five in the state... They are returning EVERYONE. Their senior night last year was a joke because they had two seniors on the varsity team and they barely played... Kyle Ficker... The two middles... Zach Meyer... They're going to put up a team that will be able to beat the majority of teams in the state and might be able to compete with the rest of the GCL...

Love you too ;) But yea, if we can get our passing together, we should be decent.

Lasalle is going to be pretty decent...they are returning all their starters from last year...i would def put them in top five

Sorry, but if your team's passing isn't together, no way should you consider yourself top 5.

Not saying our passing is bad, just not what it needs to be to beat teams like X and Elder consistently. By the way, we beat Kilbourne today 21-13, 21-15. (We also took 2 from Delaware Hayes and split with a good Seneca Valley team)

centerville

every one is talking about how centerville isnt going to even make it to top 4 this year but i have a feeling they will be a force to be reckoned with even minus their outside hitter nick strasser

Watching Elder play this weekend and hanging with them for the 2 games we played against them, either we (WN) are better than I think or Elder isnt as good as everyone says lol. They didnt dominate us by any means, and we hung around for most of the game only losing by 6 or 7. (Which is pretty good considering Westerville Norths program compared to Elder)

6 or 7 points isn't really that close. That being said, I believe the best teams in this weekend's tourney were

1) Moeller
2) La Salle
3) Seneca Valley (from PA - could be #2)
4) Elder
5) Lakota East

We'll find out shortly where St X, St Eds, Centervill, and maybe a couple more teams fit in.

lol well yeah i understand that, but WN against a team like Elder and not getting blown out either game with no pure dominance is saying something for one of the teams i would think, right?
