Lmao! Your last few brain cells struggle to make a coherent point on here everyday but thanks I guessAt first I thought having to explain every post to you was gonna get annoying, but I've grown used to it.
From the grumbling in another thread, sounds like he's a no-go for tomorrow. What is the latest on this situation?
Same with Glenville’s transfers. Good thing is some of our Fr. got V reps last week and probably will tomorrow. But with Hoban next week, we need to be sharp. Here’s to hoping OHSAA does the right thing. There’s still a chance that they do the right thing by tomorrow afternoon but as of now they are deliberately dragging their feet
Because their track record is so good at doing that huh? Maybe someday the OHSAA will catch up with the times??Here’s to hoping OHSAA does the right thing.
If these delays are not due to any known or suspected problem or an error by the schools or families then what an incredible disservice by OHSAA to suspend them.
The dragging of the feet is really crazy. Its nonsensical and backwards to be talking about "reviewing applications" in week 7. You damn near better find something wrong or else your just messing with people's season at best. Especially when you had an entire offseason to declare folks eligible or ineligible. If these delays are not due to any known or suspected problem or an error by the schools or families then what an incredible disservice by OHSAA to suspend them.
It should have been filed a week ago since they basically did the same thing to Massillon 2 years ago and kids had to sit a week and they found nothing wrong.Should only be a matter of confirming a bonafide change of residence I presume. As you said, absent obfuscation on part of the family or school, what’s the hold up? Does Massillon need to file a TRO this morning?
Is there an Option? His transfer has not been approved.DaOne to sit…
Zero. He was eligible the first 5 regardlessIs there an Option? His transfer has not been approved.
You cannot afford anymore forfeits. What is Massillon
looking at right now a 5 Game penalty?
Hope you’re correct…..Stay patient..... his paperwork will be cleared SOONER than LATER!!!!!!!!!
Sooner should have been before the season even started since he moved here in February.Stay patient..... his paperwork will be cleared SOONER than LATER!!!!!!!!!
a TRO wouldn’t work in this situation because Massillon is voluntarily sitting the kid. OHSAA has just said “we dunno yet, but if he’s ineligible, these games would be at risk of forfeit.”Should only be a matter of confirming a bonafide change of residence I presume. lawsuits would come into play if and when OHSAA makes some kind of final decision.
They could be playing them, yes. Would it “piss off” the OHSAA, no, I don’t think so. The OHSAA genuinely wouldn’t care, because if an issue was found/substantiated, they’d just make them forfeit the games. At which point, naturally, the lawsuits begin. So are you saying Massillon, Glenville, these other programs, could be playing these players? And that would not piss OHSAA off and/or pressure them to find some technical reason to make them forfeit? Like weeks later not just one week? Cuz I think that is how everyone feels about OHSAA - scared of them. Justifiably so imo.
I think if we did that it would just prolong the "investigation". At least now they must feel some level of urgency/public pressure. Maybe.
Yes I worked there from 2013-2021, in the officiating department though, not eligibility/compliance.Your worked there didn't you? Lord knows they HATE transfers - in defiance of state legislature and school choice advocates. Is this another manufactured pressure tactic to deter transfers? Sure looks like it. Bad enough to require families to invest thousands to relocate to avoid sitting out, then have to sit out anyhow?
To be honest, the High Schools in Ohio, specifically HS Principals, vote on measures put into place by the OHSAA.Because their track record is so good at doing that huh? Maybe someday the OHSAA will catch up with the times??
Would you be so kind as to tell us who assigned the ref on the near sideline of the Green game in 2021Yes I worked there from 2013-2021, in the officiating department though, not eligibility/compliance.

At least on the surface this seems to be the gist of it.So basically, the plan is to decide transfer eligibility late in the season or after, and force schools to assume all risk. With 0 incentive to approve before the season or at least by week 5. And that is acceptable? If someone sues them they'll just say hey it was voluntary, not required. Very underhanded imo!
I think it’s very fair to ask why this issue hasn’t been resolved sooner. OHSAA would be doing themselves a favor to come out publicly and explain that.So basically, the plan is to decide transfer eligibility late in the season or after, and force schools to assume all risk.
