Yes an exhibition. Does it really matter who wins or loses?
It likely does to some of the coaches, who may benefit from hitting performance metrics in their contracts for more $$$. Lol.
By all means, have all the players leaving to go pro sit out the game. Give all the reps to the players we will have coming back in 2024. Use the practice game for their benefit.
Bowl practice is huge for programs. Given how the landscape changes next year with the Big Ten shift and CFP expansion, I'm curious how this might affect some Draft Day decisions. While the slam-dunk 1st Round dudes will go, I wonder if others will now be more likely to stick around if they truly want a pair of Gold Pants, Big Ten Championship, and a shot at the CFP. All of that will be so much easier next year. Look at Oregon this year. They have one loss in conference, and will have a chance to avenge that against the team that beat them. Meanwhile, TTUN gets to stomp Iowa. Lol. I get it. tOSU should have just won last Saturday and none of this matters. I'm simply saying that this scenario could entice some dudes to stay if it means that much to them. 🤷‍♂️

Same reply. Play those who are coming back, sit those who are leaving. Extra bowl practice and extra game practice. Does it really matter who wins the game?

How about Wittingham from Utah? He has done quite well with less talent. Plus the last former Utah coach to coach at OSU didn't do too bad(y)
He’s too old. There were rumors about him retiring 2 seasons ago. It won’t be much longer especially since he’s 64. His life is also in Utah, nowhere else.

Great coach, but how is he as a recruiter? You need both at OSU. Ryan is a great recruiter but a below average coach.

I'll take that 21'-22' Rose Bowl every day of the week if they don't get the CFP. I personally enjoy watching the young dudes get after it. Gimme Carnell Tate, Brandon Inniss, CJ Hicks, Caden Curry, Jelani Thurman, Kayden McDonald, Kenyatta Jackson Jr., etc.
I’m fine with that too, but it’s just practice. Nothing to get pumped up about

Michigan wins.
1. they are still a physically superior team. ttds is still soft.
2. Michigan's coaching staff is FAR superior to cryin ryan and his bozo's.
3. Michigan develops players 100 times better than ttds.

Go Blue. The Natty is coming to Ann Arbor!

A bit behind the times there.

It’s headed to Tuscaloosa.

Sure, I’m sure you’re very proud it took you 4 weeks to come up with those 3 profound points.
Like I wrote, I just read this post. I have never once posted on the college thread. Ever. I really didn't even know it existed. I got bored with the high school thread because the season is over, so I was just looking around and found this. Sorry I didn't posted according to your timeline.

Don’t listen to Orin or any of the other Buckeye fans suffering winter chafing! Apparently Cotton doesn’t resolve the pain!

This severely tardy trolling attempt is a lot funnier considering there seems to be growing smoke over the last 1-2 days surrounding Harbaugh being a serious candidate for the Chargers job lol.

They could have ended up in either the salad, cereal, or toilet bowl. So they have a huge game in the cotton bowl vs. a team called CalaMizzou. Time to give cryin ryan his walking papers.

It really is more about his players and their efforts and hard work to win the Natty. Harbaugh didn't even coach against the 2 best Big10 teams Michigan played. If or when he leaves, they will still be in very good hands with the staff they have. It is one of the best staffs in the country. The best thing Harbaugh did about 3-4 years ago was fire all the old men coaches and brought in the up and coming young buck coaches including DC's from the Ravens. And then he let them coach.

It took you 7 years to figure out there’s more to Yappi.com than the HS football forum? Must be one of those Walmart Wolverine fans.

Significantly better trolling than guy taking 7 years to find the board or 4 weeks to come up with 3 simple points. Either way, not a great showing for the “Ivy of the Midwest”

Weird to admit your favorite teams coach isn’t a good coach. But I guess them going 5-0 without him is a testament to your point. He really isn’t a very good coach. Props to him for surrounding himself with assistants and coordinators who are good at their job.

Harbaugh built the program to where it's at. So clearly he IS a great coach. Him not coaching for 6 games is a reflection as to how good of a coach he is. He has coached the players and staff and they are ALL on the same Harbaugh page. Next man up holds true for even coaches in Ann Arbor. It's awesome to see. They are a unified group. Not in colscumbus.

You’re the one who said he isn’t good. I was simply agreeing with you.

My apologies, you implied he wasn’t a good coach.

Nope. But you can interpret what I wrote however you want. Bottom line: he has built a culture at Michigan where they truly trust each other, play for each other, coach for each other, and love each other. And that is why when a player or coach goes down, it's next player/coach up. And that is all thanks to coach Harbaugh. He has engrained: The TEAM, the TEAM, the TEAM. I would take Harbaugh over any coach in the country to coach the University of Michigan football team. He is the best coach for the Michigan job. Period. (IMHO).

Of course you did. it’s right there. Michigan performed just as well without him as they did with him. That means he does nothing, as a coach, for the team. He hired a great group of coordinators who loft him up, he gets props there. But that isn’t coaching.

If he’s such a great coach answer me these three questions: why did it take him until his 7th season at Michigan to notch his first win against OSU? Why is he just 7-9 against his 2 biggest rivals? Why did he have a losing record in his 6th year?
The answer to all is he isn’t a good coach. He just hires great coordinators.

That's your interpretation. My intent was to make it known that, yes, they performed just as well without him was because of him. They are Harbaugh trained. Without him, those stepping in are no where near as ready to do that job they did. He IS the reason and it's because he is such a great coach, motivator, and teacher. Hopefully this clarifies things a little better for you regarding my opinion of coach Harbaugh. If not, there is nothing more for me to explain. And being a good coach involves being a smart enough person to hire good people. That goes with the territory of being a great head coach. Just like coaches are considered great because they recruit well and win. Michigan's strength is within the leadership of Harbaugh, his hires as OC and DC, his strength and conditioning coach, his RB coach, etc.... I really hope you can digest all of this and get ready for the cottonelle bowl your soft suckeyes are getting ready for. It's pretty fitting. So focus on them, not the Wolverines and team 144 that is on a mission.

No it’s not my interpretation, it’s what you said. You may have intended to say something else, but you didn’t.

But I’m not surprised you ignored the three questions and instead started talking about OSU’s bowl game. When you can’t make a valid counterargument, you deflect and attempt to insult.

Are you incapable of following along with more than one game at a time? OSU doesn’t play for another 6 days and 7 hours. Maybe you aren’t mentally capable of paying attention to multiple games and teams at once, but don’t need to project your shortcomings onto others.

Enjoy your holiday season. I'm off to play pickleball in gorgeous sunny Florida.

You as well. I know it takes you a few weeks to come up with 3 valid (but simple) points so after the holiday season hopefully you’ll have an answer to the 3 valid (but simple) questions you dodged!

I’m more of a tennis guy myself, it’s more of a challenge.
