If Day loses the playoff game to Tennessee he might be gone. Too bad Michigan didn't fire Harbaugh for going 0-5 and tapped out of the Covid year to avoid loss number 6. If Harbaugh was fired, chances are we wouldn't be having this conversation now. The Michigan cheating scandal may never have happened and OSU would have beaten Michigan all three years, would have won all three conference championships game and would have been in the playoffs and would have won the Natty Michigan got last year. It looks like Michigan cheat to win campaign wrecked Day. Maybe there is no coming back from that. As for the present? I am pulling for Day and the Buckeyes to win the natty.
 
I don’t see OSU firing Day unless the playoff game is a complete disaster … but I could see Day pulling a John Calipari and bolting to another school … much like Calipari did leaving Kentucky for Arkansas.

Stop bringing Michigan into every single point of discussion. I couldn’t care less about them, I care very much another OSU and Ryan Day has destroyed this program. He’s not even recruiting all that well anymore
 
The Buckeyes have a tough road, but they can do it. They just have to play to win, not play to not lose. They need to be aggressive in the play calling and the QB has to take advantage of running the ball! If they are playing the RB, take it out and run! If you're scrambling and have a lane, run for the first down!

I'm also a Tennessee fan, so I'd love the winner of this game to win the national championship.

Hope he finds the correct personnel combination to make the State Oline at least adequate. Yet I get the feeling State's offense may see a repeat of their performance against Mizzou in the Cotton Bowl because of line play.

BS. Come on Jay. You were creaming your jeans watching Michigan beating OSU. This has everything to do with Michigan and you know it. Michigan didn't cheat OSU never loses to Michigan. Ohio State would have three Big 10 championship trophies. Harbaugh would have been fired. Michigan is in Day's head. Day's biggest recruiting/transfer portal mistake has been not bringing in a top tier place kicker. That is a major coaching mistake by Day that would have been so easy to fix. How different would things be right now if Day would have made kicker a top priority.

I would be surprised if Day would leave for another NCAA school. Who is going to pay Day what he is making at OSU?
Pretty much any other school would be a step backward. I think if Day is gone, he would be looking for an NFL job.

I haven't been a Howard fan from the start. He has numbers this year because of the talented receivers. It's hard to imagine Sayin or someone else didn't step up in Spring/Pre-season practice to land the starting role. Howard has been making poor decisions all year. I told my wife early in the year they won't win a title with Howard as the starter. If he proves me wrong good for him but I really think he's out of his league and he can't handle the spotlight.

Tennessee has a top 5 type defense in the country . While not a carbon copy of Michigans defense ,they are very difficult to run against . their chink is in their secondary. So, If im Ohio St ,im hoping for GOOD weather for Dec 20th weather . If its rain and wind etc.. OSU is big trouble again if they cant pass the ball effectively. And its time for Judkins and /or Henderson to step up and take over a big game. The O line should be as good as it can be with 2 weeks to prep ,but sometimes the RBs gotta take it upon themselves to overcome whatever weak spots the O line may have

Calipari left Kentucky for Arkansas … why? Not for money… because the heat was too hot … better to leave than stay and get fired the next year.

Now with that said, I am not saying that is happening … just that is the way Day is gone this year.

No I wasn’t? All I did was cheer for Michigan in the playoffs because it helps the Big Ten and OSU. I cheer for every single Big Ten team out of conference

I can't hate on him too much, he clearly didn't have all his marbles against Michigan after that hit. With that being said he isn't the greatest, definitely is not an NFL QB which is a tough drop off considering how good Fields & Stroud were
