Ohio Heritage Conference 2024

J

Just another Wj fan being confrontational. šŸ˜‚

Thatā€™s not being confrontational, I believe my statement was correct. Fairbanks this year was 7-3 (no league title), far exceeded their expectations and had a 2.5 hour bus ride to an away game that probably had less than 300 Fairbanks fans in attendance.

The 2019 WLS team finished 9-1 & Tri-Champs in the OHC, ranked 5th (I believe) in the State, had a week 7 victory over WJ that was one of the most exciting high school games one will see and was probably a Top 5 all time WLS victory (WLSColor could answer that better than I), was playing in a Regional Final only 30 minutes away with a chance to go to the State Semifinals in front of a pretty large crowd. To repeat a statement that the 2019 WLS team checked out - I find that extremely difficult to believe a team that ā€œchecks outā€ could accomplish what they did that year. WLS was good and showed fortitude to overcome in the regular season WJ game victory.

I know you have stated you dislike for some of the things regarding WJ and I get that. Some WJ fans are ridiculous with unrealistic expectations, blame the refs for correct calls against WJ, want to fire a coach who will be in the High School HOF, etc. To say Iā€™m disgruntled, you are not even close to being correct.

I would say that regular season game was probably a top 5 game of all time for the Tigers. No argument there.

Iā€™m hoping we get 1 or 2 this year to bump it lower on the list over the next few weeks. Hereā€™s to week 12, go Tigers!

Anyone have any insight as to why Greeneview struggled so much with Graham? I was shocked at how close it was.
I attribute it to being rusty. Graham is the best team theyā€™ve faced since week 3. Easy to get complacent and confident when youā€™re clocking not very good teams. I would think it was a wake up call.

I think Greeneview will have all they can handle versus Bath

I would not say they struggled...started a little slow but definitely did not struggle Graham only had 114 total yards of offense. On to week 12 good luck to all of the remaining OHC teams.

So we have Greeneview, WLS and NE left to represent OHC. I would consider this a negative on OHC and a less than stellar performance by the league overall. We will see how far Greeneview or WLS can go to help make a positive mark.

NE obviously has the biggest challenge, but go play the game and get some 50-50 tickets for sure!!!

Greeneview & WLS I think will both win since they play at home. Would not read too much into last week, Greeneview returns to ground and pound and WLS stays balanced and continues with stout defense.

I am not sure how you cannot be ready to play in week 11, I don't care how far you drive or who you are playing.............to bring less than your best effort is absolutely unacceptable. Before you all start bashing me, I realize they are 15-17 year old kids, coming out "flat" or "checking out" happens to most all teams at some point and so on and so on BUT setting foot on a Friday night football field without giving your very best effort should never happen at all, let alone a playoff team.

Yes mistakes will be made, missed assignments will happen, things will go against you, and you may just get whipped by a better team, but not giving maximum effort I just cannot understand.

Where y'all heading this week? Or is it basketball/wrestling season?
that Greeneview games looks very intriguing and itā€™s a reasonable drive from me. WLS vs ME is also intriguing. I think GV vs Bath is a de facto region championship so i will probably attend that.

Next week, I will go to a game close to home, hoping a potential London-Tippecanoe or WLS-Waynesville matchup would end up in Fairborn or Xenia.

Good luck tonight to the Tigers, Rams, and Jets!

It "sounds" like the Tigers are getting healthy at the right time possibly, so that's big.

I'm going with:

WL-S 34, Miami East 28. Maybe I'm being conservative, but this is going to come down to how the Tigers defense performs tonight. They've been a bit bipolar throughout the season. I feel like it could be a much larger win, but I also feel like we could come out flat and lose.

Greeneview 28, Bath 21. I think Bath is the most dangerous team remaining in Region 20 if this pick tells you anything about how I feel the Rams will bounce back from a semi-flat Week 11.

Coldwater 35, Northeastern 14. I genuinely think the Jets can battle for a half as long as they come out and punch the Cavs in the mouth (like they're capable). 21-14 or something like that at the half, with Coldwater showing their depth and talent in the second half to pull away.

If the OHC gets through tonight 2-1, it will be a good night. Go OHC!

Good luck tonight.............agreed, if we can go 2-1 with both N & S champs still playing it will be some saving grace for the OHC.

Miami East @ WLS - I believe the Tigers will beat up the Vikings, home field advantage helps, good balance of run & pass and the defense steps up tonight to set up potential road to rematch in finals?? (35-17)

Bath @ Greeneview - Looking for this to be closer game, but Gview does their ground & pound, home field advantage helps and continues with stout defense (24-17)

NE @ Coldwater - End of the road for NE, they will play hard but are simply outmatched as most OHC teams have been when it comes to the Cavs!!! (40-10)

went to Greeneview/Bath. great game. if Greeneview plays every game like they did in the 3rd quarter than they could win a state championship. Bath is a really good football team and was capable of winning the region.

real chance we get an all-OHC championship in R20. WLS will have its hands full with Waynesville next week.
