Anyone know why we are playing all games on Fridays? I'd like to go see and support other area teams in the playoffs, yes including Bluffton.

Yeah can not figure OHSAA thinking on this.
All year long they talk about official shortage then they do this so at least games will have less than good officials. Typical OHSAA not to care about athletes just get the games played and pay your exorbitant fees to get in with little to no regards for the outcome

I hate it as I can't do the Friday in Indiana & Saturday in Ohio watching like in years past. Doesn't really matter this year for me though. Just have Indiana schools left in the playoffs.

Always been in the minority on this but I vastly prefer all Fridays. I also love college football so that is a factor. There's just a certain feel and rhythm to HS football on a Friday.

the road trips to watch other games on the night my home team is not playing. Chance to see some other teams play against different competition..Yes, happens all the time. The coaches vote on all league, journalists (?) vote on all district. As a past coach, I trust the guys that had to scheme against the players more. Some players ended up all district based more on which writer covers them and bloated stats.

Yeah, the ideal was a mid afternoon HS Saturday game when the college game I wanted to see was prime time Saturday night. Regular season HS football definitely should be Friday Night Lights. Playoffs depends for me.

Don't disagree, although my team doesn't frequently make runs so that option is still available. I also have really little kids at home so two nights out without them in a row isn't likely to happen anyway....Always loved

Nice to hear that the State Runner Up parade for Cross Country went through Wren. Of course they have more Wren area kids than other teams is probably why. Saw parents & others standing by the tavern waiting as we drove through. If wife would have informed me, we would have went up there as we had gone to church with at least 3 of them & of course one is a wrestler. Congrats to them as they're pretty young I believe.

I'm not sure on this one. I'd like to believe Bluffton can do it. I need to do some research
All 4 of Hurons losses were top D5 or larger schools with the worst loss to 11-0 Edison by 25 points. Hurons wins, though a few were against former powerhouses, none really stand out. They did beat a D3 team but Dayton Dunbar is not that good. My guess is Bluffton takes this game and could be by a large margin if they get their heads back into it and leave the Grove game behind.

If the same Bluffton team who showed up for Paulding shows up for Huron, the Pirates' season will end at Harmon Field.

NWC Week 12 Playoff Predictions
Huron @ Bluffton - Toss-up game for me. Pre-week 6 Bluffton and post-week 6 look like 2 different teams IMO. First close game of the year against Loramie, beat up on Allen East after they packed it in for the year, then got embarrassed week 10 and couldn't put away a very average Paulding team last week. Huron hasn't looked amazing either with 3 straight losses to end the regular season, but those losses were to 9-2 D4 Vermillion, 8-3 D4 Clyde, and 11-0 D5 Edison. The outcome depends entirely on if Bluffton can get out of their funk or not, and I'm doubtful that they will. Huron by 7
Ft. Loramie @ Cincinnati College Prep - Loramie is out in Region 28 making a good case for playoff expansion. Big win on the road last week to get them to 3 wins in a row, and now Drew Pasteur has them predicted to win on the road again by 21. I'll go with Drew's prediction on this one
Lima Central Catholic @ Columbus Grove - LCC put on their best game of the year week 9 to lose to Grove by 8, really struggled with Crestview to win 10-3 in week 10, and then in week 11 they let Pandora back into the game after being up by 21 to only win by 5. Not sure if they're beat up with injuries, or if they really out-played their average against Grove the first time, but this is 100% a statement game for Grove. IMO these are by far the 2 best teams in Region 26. I think the close game week 9 re-lit a fire for the Grove kids, and if they play like they're capable of then I can very easily see them winning this game with a running clock. Grove by 24+

Agree with most of the above, I don't see Bluffton winning this game, something has changed and after Paulding our boys don't seem like they have it on them to get over the loss. Really thought they were gonna come out and take out some frustrations on Paulding, we scored on the opening kickoff so the game could have really gone either way. No excuse for not getting to regional finals, especially when they are looking at Ottawa Hills next. But they way we are playing I just don't see it happening.

Just a heads up LCC is a dumpster fire currently. Players fighting at practice players telling coaches they're stupid. Do not expect much from them tomorrow night.

I know this is football thread, but so far so good for Redskin country! Volleyball state champs! Even though I haven’t watch once ounce of Hs volleyball in a VERY long time it’s still nice to see the school Sports perform well! Let’s keep it going tonight on the field!

How the MAC hasn't just added Ft. Loramie regardless of numbers is crazy. Have the volleyball and girls hoops. Football is competitive usually. Just a natural fit.
