Another Wall of Sound

And a little taste of how it sounded out in the audience. Primary draw back was the vocals, since the mics were in front of the speakers they had to add a 2nd mic to the stand to cancel out the feedback which gave it a "breathy" sound. Also the sheer weight of the thing made it financially tough to tour as only so much weight could go into each semi, it took 5 semis just for the Wall of Sound PA. they also had to bring along extra fork lifts as most venues did not have enough to get it set up in time for a show.

So Billy Strings had a pro wrestling themed Halloween show with a bunch of guests from a variety of genres show up. Not the best quality but a cool sequence here with Sierra Hull on the Mandocaster, Soundgarden's Rusty Cage into Jimi's Voodo Chile back into Rusty Cage:


She has been busting this thing out a lot more recently:

Another classic rock tune that reminds me of my youth, this time college. We couldn't believe that MTV would play a 6 minute song from a traditional rock band, vid does have that '80s style/fashion vibe.

My best buddy turned me on to that tune (and Dire Straits) "way back when".

That 1985 Brothers in Arms tour was one of the best "sounding" shows I have seen, that band was on point and the guitar work done by Mark Knopfler was some of the best I have heard. Too bad these guys couldn't get on the same page and continue forward as a band.
