the only D1 victory for the comets will be against Kings. They are way out of their league

I know the falcons will be gunning for you after the heartbreaking loss you gave them last year I think that is a game you have a chance

Who does this?

Who posts threads hailing one player? If you want him to like you buy him flowers or something...geez.

Justin is a great player. He may be one of the best offensive attackers in the city. Just not enough around him.

please tell me this is joke

Don't think its a joke. Well the name of the thread maybe. JM is a very good attacker. Got great hands and size. I am not sure, but he is probably 6-4, 210. Somewhere around there.

He just doesn't have enough help yet. Those 8th graders (very good..thumped Moeller & beat Sycamore last year) are a few years a way from really helping Mason.

Is he a Finegan or a Bauer? Probably not, but he is a solid player.

I really hate talking about an individual negatively and in no way is this personal but there is no way he is one of the best attackmen in the city at least not in D1. He would maybe be the 6th or 7th best attackmen on Moeller, IH, or St.X. He's a big tall guy but doesn't have much lacrosse skill worthy of being called one of the best attackmen in the city. Its great that cincy lacrosse is expanding and Mason has a D1 team this year but its gonna be awhile before they compete with already established programs. Mason is gonna need better players than Justin if they are gonna be taken seriously.

Hey this is Justin. While some of your comments were very nice, and I really do think I can contribute to some big Mason upsets this year, I can see what franchise is saying. I would say most if not all of St. X and Moellers starting attackmen are probably better than I am, although I think he was a little harsh in saying there number 6 attackmen are better than me. The real reason I posted tho is because I really wanna know....who are you franchise, laxplayer, and johnstamosforlife? (No hard feelings or anything franchise)

A modest post. I'd abstain from openly telling everyone who you are, however. But what's done is done...

Check your PM

franchise was right the first time, mahoney wouldnt even be on varsity for half of the d1 teams. wouldnt sniff the field at a moe, ih, or x.

Don't be so postive about that. Last time I checked, Indian Hill has a weak attack. And if I remember right, Justin was a solid player.

I am sorry did you already get your scholorship to VA, JH or perhaps Onondaga CC? You and francise both seem to know everything about everything and nothing about anything. Do you go to Mason? Do you see our guys work ethic? Just ASSume?

Please enhance our Lacrosse knowledge with your plethra of data based findings or at least get the fries when the buzzer goes off.

we will see the talent difference when mason plays moeller this season

Never said they would be competitive, just yet. My son plays for the youth team at Moe and I have seen the quality of players at Moe. That is why we are there.

Great players. But, to continually cut on a kid (JM "wouldnt sniff the field at a moe, ih, or x") without data to back it up is pretty idiotic statement. Typical franchise/eastcoast rhetoric.

If so, then Moeller would be equal to Mason when they play UA.

Stop puffing out your chest and attacking Mason. The first post in this thread is as follows:

Justin Mahoney will lead the Comets to a victory this season. Do you concure?

In case you are unable to read, take a look at the bolded part, which clearly states "A VICTORY". That's ONE. He isn't talking about complete domination, just that a senior player will help Mason make a stand in D1.

Moeller is not the king of lacrosse in Ohio, so don't put them up on a pedestal. They, just like the rest of us in R4, get smacked when we play teams like UA. To them, we are like a new team, like Mason or Kings. We should be helping them build up, instead of constanting looking for ways to put them down.

Talent difference? Yes. But the only difference that's showing through right now is the difference in egos.

i can tell you this, ive seen him play with my own two eyes and hes a sorry excuse for a varsity lacrosse player.

mahoney is a great guy, and a great player, but i don't see him winning all by himself. he will only be as good as his teammates. lacrosse is a team sport, after all.

so do i see a victory? yes. do i see many? the magic 8 ball says... ask me later.

Then keep your comments to yourself

This constant put-down of a player is getting rather annoying, so knock it off.

Very well said

I haven't had the opportunity to see you play, so I cannot comment on your ability to recognize talent or not. Hopefully you get past your anger management issues.

Sounds like JM got your girl or something, because you have brought ZERO to the conversation and in your limited posts just enjoy cutting on people. Maybe you should hit the wall a bit and release some frustration on a LAX ball or something, but please get some help.

you have got to be kidding me. There is no way in ---- mason will even win a single game. maybe, maybe if they are lucky they can beat turpin.

I don't wanna be put in the same sentence with eastcoast. It was not my intention to come down personally on Justin. I apoligized to him through PM. As i said i am happy that the sport is expanding in the cincy area and wish mason the best of luck and do believe they are gonna pull off a couple of victories this year. I am just always against entire threads started about one person unless the player has performed some monumentus feat. Give credit where credit is due. I wish Justin and the Mason Comets the best of luck. Now lets get this season started and do our talking on the field.

It's amazing the level of stupidity this thread attracts...

i love how having an opinion on this board is considered "stupid" so im a little harsh, so what? if youre going to start a thread about one guy you have to expect good and bad, and thats my opinion of mahoney.
