I thought they were forcing other schools to take on transfers so that those schools would have a high enough CB number to make ML move down from D6 to D7. ;)
 
Dear ML. Ignore all these computer warriors and do what is best for your community, school, and football team. I have watched your program from about an hour away for about 30 years. You guys do it the correct way. Academics and athletics are held to a high standard that most of these fingertip soldiers could never understand. Northwest Ohio football schools are proud that you lead the charge in the best area of football in all of Ohio. Also, no one can match your 50-50 drawings or the Festival that you put on each summer. I have attended the tractor pull the last two years and totally enjoyed the time there. I look forward to your football program rearming with mostly young talent. Enjoy the journey!!!!

I believe recruiting looks very different at Marion Local than most schools. And I am certain very often kids are heavily recruited that play there. You have moms begging their kids for grandkids. Twenty years later, that grandkid is hoisting another state championship trophy, the direct result from his grandmother's request that he simply become available.

Maybe we should encourage our kids to signal 1st down after a play, do a celebration after every tackle, or run up to cameras to perform dances after every score instead going back to the huddle and gloating high fives. Might be drawing too much attention to ourselves.

I think it is ok to discuss schedules and potential matchups for everyone except Marion. They have a duty.

Obviously, it would be a much worse outcome for 24 ML vs. 24 Watterson than the 2019 game, so you're correct in comparing teams, but the 2019 game should be mentioned because that "medicore" team was the best team ML has faced outside of the MAC and D6/D7 playoffs in over a decade.
