Struthers will be back in the gutter before you know it. Coach isn't good by any means. getting by on talent only gets you so far. Some nasty sh#t going on behind closed doors over there...

Hubbard wins tonight against old rival Brookfield 49-19.

Will play Wilmington at home next week. Wilmington beat Greenville tonight 28-7.
Hats off to the Brookfield faithful, I was impressed by them filling up at least half of the visitor's side which would be around 1000 that actually seats 2000 at The Beautiful.

Hubbard side packed as usual around 3000 with people also standing around the fences. Weather-wise, perfect night for Valley football.

Brookfield has a handful of sophomores that are studs. Number 0 is fast fast and scored two touchdowns by himself. Hubbard's big lines dominated. Michael Hazimihalis is a big time player for Hubbard all over the field. Encouraging

Michael Hazimihalis may have not been player of the game but boy did that kid make a huge impact in all 3 phases. Encouraging to see Hubbard turn it around a bit. Nice job.

What impressed me about Hubbard was their balance on offense. Singer, Chaney, Odem, Berkeley & Hazimihalis all contributed on offense in the passing game. They all blocked well too when they didn't get the ball. The TE Krisek wasn't involved in the passing game last night but is a weapon as well. Good game last night.

A lot of positives for Hubbard but a lot to work on as well. Penalties negated a kick off return for touchdown and one other touchdown. Holding both times. I’m glad the line is being aggressive but just need to be a little bit smarter. They were good calls. Seeing good leadership out there. That’s a big difference from years past. Need to work on xp snaps. Two different bad snaps forced the holder into botched tries. Have to clean it up before league play. Thankfully it’s only week 1. Happy with the results.

I think all those guys are soph and juniors. The 240 lb rb needs to only go north and south. He's not going to out race too many to the end zone but a Good weapon to have as the o-line wears on a defense late in the 2nd half. Pete Johnson type.

I don't see how they play this game at Brookfield next year, there had to be close to 4000 people there last night (3000 home side and 1000 on the visitor's side) Brookfield's new stadium looks like it only holds 2000 max. Best case scenario would be to renegotiate the contract for next year and play the game at The Beautiful, plus give Brookfield more of the gate to compensate the move. I saw their new stadium, it's going to be really nice when completed, but it's not built for that amount of people. The Hubbard band alone would take up like half of the visitor's side.Think about it Brookfield for next year and take the money...

Absolutely, a lot of juniors and some sophomores on this team. The 240 lb RB is a sophomore and his nick name is Big Cookie. More of a power back for sure...

In theory that’s what you would want to do, but I doubt Brookfield would ever go for it

I'm not trying to demean or denigrate their new stadium, far from it, it's just way to small for that game. They might have realized that last night looking over to Hubbard's home stands, at least I hope so. Brookfield's stadium is the perfect size for who they play on a regular basis, and I'm sure it's going to look really nice when completed in a number of years. To play this game in their stadium just might not be attainable. It's their call though, they're the ones that wanted this game in the first place, so it'll be interesting on how they approach it.

Here's another theory, cancel next year's game altogether, this was suppose to be an inauguration of their new stadium this year, well that ship has sailed. It just won't be the same or have that special meaning for Brookfield next year.

Hey, I'm just throwing out different options, if anybody else has anything to add please do.

Be nice to keep the rivalry going in some sort of fashion even if Hubbard wins every year. They’ll always get points and it should prepare Brookfield for anyone else on their schedule
