"Cool" Frank Angelo
I think he ended up at Michigan State, he had a rifle for an arm.
The reason I posted was because I was asked this the question in person, and Angelo was my first thought.........then I thought "Dang, that was 50+ years ago, let me ask around (yappi), maybe there's someone since".

lol, I had a another name or two..........but they're older than him.

Guys need to check out the sophomore QB for Hubbard. Hell of an arm and I hope they give him a chance in varsity this year. And he will definitely be the starter next year.

You are already talking about next year? SMH!
No, not at all, he was just "stating a fact" about the young sophomore QB that has some nice promising talent. I doubt very much that SOARING was trying to "irritate you" olschool, but apparently he did after reading your post. I doubt that that was SOARING's intent... again he was just stating his opinion about the young man's talent, nothing more than that...

The player must be a relative of Soaring. It's ok. I'd worry more about Brookfield than the JV QB!

I feel like Hubbard will surprise some people this season. As long as they can style healthy. They have a really nice junior class. I actually see them knocking off Niles, Poland, and Girard who are all down this season in my opinion. 7 wins for the Eagles. Best of luck to them.

Come on olschool, SOARING's grandson plays for Hubbard, "he knows most of the players on the team". Of course he has pride and knowledge of the team on a personal basis just like you do with your Cats. You can't take that away from him...

He’s a Campbell fan but follows a good amount of teams

Campbell has a very rich football history. Some of the best in the valley. Sad to see what’s happened to that program. Hopefully they can turn things around.
Stopped by Red Devils Stadium for a few plays Friday. Mid 1st quarter 7-0 Campbell over Lisbon
Unfortunately more Blue Devil than Red Devil fans

I understand that. I am not a Struthers fan. I am a Campbell Memorial fan. I follow the NE8. I workout in a gym that has Struthers, Hubbard, Campbell, Ursuline and Lowellville players. I see them all the time and they are all great kids.

So I know what is going on with each respective team. Pointing out the backup qb and talking about next year when this year hasn't started is weird to me.

I was there. Campbell played well but a far cry from its glory years. Hopefully with the switch in tiers this year will help them. Being a closed enrollment school does not help them at all. Open enrollment has helped Hubbard, Struthers, South Range, Lowellville in some capacity over the years. I hope that the kids can start to believe in their coaches and do what it takes to be a winning program again. The facilities are top notch, the STEM school is very successful. The Wellness Center is beautiful. We just need a couple of breaks.

It might be weird to you but a sense of pride and knowledge to SOARING since his grandsons wear the Hubbard uniforms and he knows the players on the team. Hubbard has a backup QB as does every other team so what's so weird about that, and also that he will probably be the starter next season? I just don't get why that irritates you so very much. Do you actually know the young man? SOARING does and has seen him play, I don't know him but I heard a lot about him.

I remember about a dozen

I remember about 10 years ago Campbell had decent numbers in their youth program. What happens in between thete and high school? Kids stop playing football? Go to other schools? I know that success in youth league doesn't always equate to HS varsity success, but the other teams in their league then ( Lowellville, Springfield, Crestview ) went on to have anywhere from decent to State contending teams

Once they get into middle school it seems to fall off. Some kids leave for other schools. Some don't want to put in the time it takes to be successful.

The weird part is that this season hasn't started and your talking about next year. Let's focus on this season and this seasons QB. Good luck to the Eagles this year!

Hub, to be honest with you I don't give a 2-bit sh_t what this guy thinks lol. If it makes him feel good to run his mouth he has that option. No worries Hub lol, it's all good bro
