General NFL Chat

Can't be in 4th and 5 or longer vs Chiefs and expect good things to happen. If Bills don't take that pt. off the board who knows how this game turns out. They went for 2 again to make up for the 1st non conversion and failed again otherwise would have been leading 24 to 21 instead of 22 - 21.

I don't watch much NFL (find it pretty boring) but I'll pay attention during this time of year some and the Chiefs just have the best play calling on both sides of the ball. Yes, Mahomes make it easier for their offense but Steve Spagnuolo has had different players and is still dominant. He's the best defensive coordinator I've ever seen. The attention to detail and aggressiveness is 2nd to none

Looked like he crossed the line. Not a good job by review.

Sad that this play ended up being the difference maker in a 3-point affair. Didn't really care who won but am still disappointed that a failed review played such a big role in deciding the outcome.

How was that not a delay of game penalty at the 2-minute timeout? Clearly the play clock was at :00 and the game clock was at 2:01. I don't understand...just goes with the narrative of KC and the refs being connected.

Again, don't really care who wins, just don't understand the above.

No more josh allen most overrated qb ever.

From the guy who told us Watson was the third best NFL QB ever and would be the savior of the Browns. Allen is a multiple time Pro-Bowler and All-Pro and has a list of NFL records for passing and rushing that would take up this entire page.

Every time I think you've reached a low you prove me wrong.

The Chiefs are just really really good. They don't check all the boxes, but when it's time to compete, they find a way to win. Mahomes, Kelce and Chris Jones are their leaders, but they have a bunch of guys who just do their jobs. Kareem Hunt and JuJu Smith Schuster were not even on the Chiefs at the start of the season, Pachecco missed about 80% of the regular season and is just coming back. No problem, they just find ways to win. And it's just sour grapes to those who keep pointing to the officials calls. There are hundreds of calls in games that could change the outcome. There are 60 minutes. A play or two called one way does not change the game. It's the nature of sports.

You had a good post till that last sentence one bad zebra call can affect the game. Most NFL games are decided by a TD or less a penalty called or not called can make a big difference.

No, no, no, there may be a call missed on a critical play, but you CANNOT allow one play to dictate the entire game. Officials are human beings and the game is fast. They've been instructed for the watchability of the game to not call this or call that. Other than that's it's easy, right? Guess what, before replay we just lived with the good and bad calls and I'm sure there were alot more than there are today. We just have a society today that can't accept losing and want to blame someone other than their players. PLAYERS win and lose games, period.

Yes, yes it can. My focus is on the insistence by many that it's somehow unfair? We didn't use to have replay, you had one shot at the call and there is, has and always will be bad calls in games. And then for people to actually think the officials have some ulterior motive in these games? Have people never spent any time around officials? They do it because they want to call the games correctly. They are not fans, they don't have favorite team or player.
My other point is there is many, many, many plays the PLAYERS mess up that lose your favorite teams games, not an officials calls.

The Jets have informed Rodgers that they are moving on without him next year.
I’m sure they recouped some of his first year contract on insurance but man, he fleeced Woody Johnson.

I love the ridiculous conspiracy theory that Rodgers tried to dismantle the Jets from within because the Jets owner is a Johnson and Johnson (Covid vax) heir.

It's like the Jets want to be failures. Think about this. They had an up and coming team, great defense, Salaa was thought of as a pretty good coach. Rodgers goes there, missed the entire 23 season due to injury, 24 starts, they get off on the wrong foot, Rodgers pouts, coach is fired, Rodgers plays miserably the rest of the season. Now they hire a new coach and kicks Rodgers to the curb. You really can't write this stuff.

I don't blame him for kicking him to the curb. It's all about culture change and you can't do that with a guy who comes and goes as he pleases and thinks he runs the franchise.

When Allen accepted his MVP he gave a shout out to "slick Rick" and a lot of people wondered who that was. Turns out he's the guy that's been running the Bills mail room for years. Ryan Fitzpatrick gave him the nickname.

And how funny it is that Rodgers is and was this way, the Jets knew it and signed off on it, and now they are ticked about it? It's why you just don't side with players.
You can side with players. You just need to side with players with character, like Nick Chubb, rather than egomaniacs and kooks like Aaron Rodgers.
