Federal League Football 2023

I was at ALL the games last night. Here are my thoughts:

McKinley: Come back kids... A true sleeper FED team

Perry: There no hope for the Panthers. Im sorry. Try something new... 5 wide???

Lake: A team slowly improving. They remind me of the Michigan Wolverines

Hoover: Vikes coaching staff is a bottom 2 coaching staff in OHIO (not 2). The vikes could use a real football mastermind like myself.

Green: As a die-hard Green fan, I can say that the refs are the reason we lost. the REAL BULLDAWGS got snubbed.

Jackson: Surprisingly, undefeated in the FED. I know everyone on here can relate to me when I say who the hell saw this coming

Officiating in the Federal League has been lackluster and really bad for the last 6 years and it continues to get worse.
I have seen the Federal League crews do some games out of the League and are very biased against certain people

Pasteur rankings with week 5 complete:

McKinley #30
Jackson #50
Green #66
Lake #110
Perry #142
Hoover #150
GlenOak #165

GO beat Hoover. Makes sense for them to be below Hoover. 😂
There's a quirk in the model because one of Hoover's opponents is not considered. So it's only looking at 4 games for them but is looking at 5 games for GlenOak. If GO hangs in there with Green or beats them, they'll rise significantly.

I've said all along Green has no running game. They haven't had a great one in years. Now with their QB out they have nobody to get the ball to their outstanding Receiver tandem. Green is getting better but just not turning the corner. They were better than Jackson and found a way to lose.
They were not better than McK but should have EASILY won the game. Of course their QB going down had a lot to do with it. To get to the next level they have to win those two games instead of finding ways to lose. They aren't likely to win another game but we do have a really good coach so maybe he can come up with something?

A very strange and biased post.

Where do you get your stats if you don't mind me asking?
Not respond for "CantonKid", but the majority of the stats listed above were mentioned in the Repository's game coverage. MaxPreps also provides stats if you are registered to access.

MaxPreps only provides stats if someone bothers to add them, I'm the Jackson scorer on MaxPreps. I'll probably start keeping track myself now.

Perry’s pass defense is horrible, why should we be impressed??
"Big Time" Sports can't even spell one of the counties they're supposed to cover as a media outlet correctly. GURNSEY County.

Nothing like attention to detail.

Total yards

McKinley 491
Green 272

First downs

McKinley 28
Green 11

McKinley had 6 turnovers
Regardless of the stats, Green would of won this game if QB didnt get hurt. He went down early and they still almost won. Injuries are part of the game just like turnovers are. Not sure why you keep posting this info.

Dang, you been on McKinley's team 15 years now? I'd be surprised, but this seems to be the average time it takes McKinley students to graduate.
Wow! I had previously given you more credit as a person of class and integrity. But your obnoxious and illiterate comment above reflects, not only your, but probably the Jackson community's overall snobbish and arrogant attitudes. Pathetic!

I had no intention of making any comments until he escalated the conversation, as they say, don't dish it out if you can't take it. I have nothing but respect for our fellow Stark County schools, including McKinley, as I don't believe I've had the displeasure of not liking anyone I've met from McKinley. Do I regret what I said? Yes. Do I feel like it was unwarranted? No. I'm sorry you clearly hold a grudge against the Jackson community, as we're some of the kindest and most welcoming communities and environments in the whole state, if you've ever been to a game you'd know this. My friendly banter was not meant as an insult to "Cantonkid", merely as I said, friendly banter. Have a good day, Go Bears!

You sound like a politician. We were talking sports but you made personal. I have went to many McKinley-Jackson basketball games and sat with the Jackson fans. I could not believe what i heard. Many remarks like yours and worse. Sorry to say i heard the N word and making fun of the way McKinley fans dress and comments like yours. Go Bulldogs!

I've been trying to be as respectful as possible, but since you want to attack Jackson fans, this is what I'll say about McKinley in the many times I've been to a Jackson McKinley event (in multiple sports). McKinley fans are the absolute worst in the Federal League, and not just this but probably Northeast Ohio. There's not a set of more disrespectful fans, fans that will scream threats at the refs during basketball games, vandalize the school if they lose (I would know as I was a student at Jackson not too long ago, and I've witnessed it.) Your fans scream slurs at our student-athletes, they trash our stands they scream at the refs, it's the most pathetic behavior by a high school fanbase in the entirety of Northeast Ohio. It's also a shame considering every McKinley student I've ever met was amazing, and I love engaging in friendly conversations with them at games, but if you want to insult our fans, here's what yours do. Call us all the Jackson stereotypes you will but this is how it is. I made a single joke in response to an argument you started, and you took it upon yourselves to call us racists and practically horrible human beings, while I went out of my way to say I thought McKinley students were some of the best I've had the pleasure of interacting with.

Hey look the Jackson fan lives up to their stereotype. Garbage people who have a grossly inflated sense of themselves. Treat everyone from the "city" as beneath them. You didn't have to dig too far into your personality to make those posts. I bet you use the n-word a lot. Money obviously doesn't buy class.

Again, I love city schools, and McKinley was always the best environment for basketball games, but the one thing I refuse to hear is the racist stereotype associated with Jackson. I was born and raised in Canton, I still live in Canton, I always lived in Canton. I lived down the street from a Canton Local Elementary, and I hoped to go there for school with all of my friends, but my parents refused and enrolled me in a nearby private school. I moved to Jackson in 3rd Grade, and I never really was comfortable there until high school, where I got very involved in school spirit. I love the city of Canton, and I especially hold no grudges against McKinley, but I hate being called a racist just because I happened to end up at Jackson.

This all started when i asked how many years in a row has McKinley beat Jackson. He then made it personal.
You made it personal by bringing it up in the first place, and it had nothing to do with the conversation at hand. You're a great instigator, my friend. Take pride in that if you will.
