Can't believe the A's won the AL West. I heard the Rangers were in first place every day since April 8th, and led the A's by like 13 or 15 games in June. Cheers to small markets, Johnny Gomes and his beer goggles

Anybody notice that the ChiSox are sitting "future HOFer" Big Donkey tonight? He has 222 wiffs this year, only one shy of the alltime single season record of 223 set by Mark Reynolds. Seems like they are protecting him from this dubious record.

They did the same thing last year to protect him from settin the record for All-Time low batting average, and with like 8 games left in the season :laugh:

Good to see Jonny Gomes succeeding in a different place. He needed a new scene. Rangers are toast IMO.

I'll be cheering for the Orioles and A's from this point on, at least in the AL. Hoping Washington wins the NL.

The AL Central was so weak this season that Detroit would've finished in 4th or worse if they happened to be in either other division in the AL.

Curtis Granderson finished the year with 43 HRs. :laugh: Yankee Stadium is a joke.
The A's are ROLLING, but when is the last time they've won a playoff series??? They were awesome at choking back when they were decent (early-mid 00's). I'm rooting for them also, along with the Orioles. I could really care less who wins in the NL, just not the Cardinals or Giants. Pretty random that both WS participants from last year are in the WC game.
