They really didn't play it smart early in the season. If they knew they would eventually shut him down, they should have started shortening his outings or possibly skipping turns in the rotation when they realized that they had a legit playoff contender. White Sox are doing that with Chris Sale, I've heard.

Is he coming off surgery? I don't know, I simply read about it somewhere how they plan to limit his innings without shutting him down.

According to Yahoo! he's pitched for the White Sox since 2010 but didn't start a game before this season. Must've been a reliever.

Sale was the closer last year. They've made a concerted effort to give him extra days on many occasions since he's a first-year starter. They even briefly went to a 6-man rotation right after the Liriano trade.

 at the butthurt Cups fans.

Tom, you're full of crap. You do not swing 3-0 with a five-run lead at any time. You've been in a major-league clubhouse; you're supposed to know that. (Davey Johnson knows it too.) You also know, I assume, that the Nats restarted the fight after it had been calmed down. But I guess that doesn't give you a chance to vent your spleen of all the press-box Pepsi you've been guzzling down all these years.

Put $20 on the Phillies to win the World Series a couple days ago. Not looking good now since they immediately lost two in a row after I placed the bet. However, it's a 150 to 1 payout, so worth the risk IMO. 20 bucks for 3 grand? Not bad

Orioles top prospect Dylan Bundy promoted to majors! I'm very high on this kid and despite only being 19 years old, he IS MLB ready.

Anyone else hoping Miguel Cabrera wins the Triple Crown? I know he's on Detroit but it would be cool to see someone do that for the first time since the 1960s.

Cabrera went 2 for 3 with 2 RBI's tonight before getting replaced in the later innings by Omar Infante. His average is up to .331 now. No one will pass him in RBI's and John Hamilton is 1 HR behind him. Mike Trout is batting .325 as of right now where he's 1 for 2 in his game tonight.

Of course I am, 1967 Carl Yaztremski was the last to get the Triple Crown. Miggy gets it and he goes down in history. I hope he does. HR's are scary part.
