Early Medina Invitational Projections?

guys think here for a second walker is up a weight class for the competition and there is a big difference between 171 and 189 weight wise. I think he did good for that and I encourage any kid to sacrifice records to go after better competition. Look at Taylor and Palmer wish we had more kids want too. Today to many kids want to protect records which is sad. Walker should be top 4 at state at 171

matches are posted on Flowrestling. unfortunately the Utely Walker match is not one of them... Utely's clearly a studd. Best of luck to him this year. I agree with you Firebird #7 - interesting move by Springboro to bump up a weight their two best wrestlers in one of the states toughest tourney. don't see that often, could be a test to get them ready for March.

What a contrast between 119 and 125. !25 is extremely weak. All the top 4 seeds are already out of championship, how often has that happened? But it was predictable. I will say who ever takes 3rd and 4th at 119 would probably have won 125 even at 119 scratch. Crazy Quarter finals match ups yesterday, well worth admission!

Ed's is making a statement in D1. Perry, while early in the season took a beating in the semis. It's early in the season for Ed's also.

Head to Heads, Ed's vs Perry

Bright over Timchenko

Heil over Newhouse

Martin over Petrime

Abounader over Arrendale

Suvak over Tayse

Walz over Wise

Kuhar over Mayse

7-0

Perry would be the heavy favorite in a couple that didn't meet up though 140 and 103 primarily.

So what your saying is Perry wins those 2 and leaves 125; 130; 135; 145; 171 in the air which I give Ed's the advantage in 125 and 145 with 130; 135 and 171 all toss ups.

No excuses, Ed's was ready Perry was not. I agree that several of the match ups if they wrestled 10 times it would be 5-5, however the Panthers need to get back to work, and work harder if they want to beat the Eagles at the State Duals. Congrats to Ed's you won this one, but we all know that the Panthers seem to get it in gear in the post season. GET IT DONE PANTHERS!!!

Good show Coach Root and Boro. Young team scoring high as a team in a tough tournament. Josh and the boys are rolling. Keep it up. Congratulations.

So somebody is running from somebody? Who are you talking about?

When Wadsworth seemed to have caught up with Ed's in 2009 they were barn stormed at State. While the MIT is not state or the athmosphere, hopefully Perry can use this experience as the wake up call Wadsworth had in '09 to ready them in '10. Fortunately for Wadsworth in '09 they returned most of their pieces. Not sure where Perry stands in the age catagory.

They are looking good for next year also except the Wise loss. They have the chance this year if they use yesterday's experience as a quick lesson towards maturity. As I have said from the start Perry and less likely Wadsworthwill need the growing parity in D1 to waater down Ed's as they look strong to be back on top.

Was he hurt? Maybe more to the story?

Not sure I know what you mean?

I had to leave early. I will say that when I left he was looking fine. I checked the net on the way home and saw he defaulted in the conso semi's and then didn't wrestle in the 5th - 6th place match. The note next to the match details stated: injury.

After sitting out all of last year, I would hate to see him need to miss any more matches.

Nothing wrong with missing matches, he is returning from an injury that kept him out for a year. It's easy for all of us to talk about the wrestling, he is actually doing it, and it takes a tremendous amount of energy, along with the torque on the body, he likely had enough, hopefully it was precautionary. The Post Season is what counts, getting ready for Sectionals.

Thats a pretty impressive line up and young! This might be the team to get it done next year or the next? Only 3 seniors!
