Early Medina Invitational Projections?

Springboro

D'urso and Shiver both pin their way to the semi's. Walker loses to Utley 5-3 on 4 stalling calls and an escape.

Shivener and Walker both wrestling up a weight class (think shivener may be certified at 130??) Watched him few times this year - absolute beast... Scary good. Walker will be tough to beat at 171. D'ruso is a rising star. Having Shivener as his workout partner shows...very similar style.

6808 Tayse is in the semi's, what do you mean what happened? Today should be a very good indicator for both Ed's and the Panthers. With 5 head to head matches in the semi's, this round may be better than the finals! Good luck Panthers.

I think Shivener's fat test says he can go 130, but not sure he is certified there unless he actually makes scratch at a weigh-in and wrestles there.

Other MIT thoughts:

D-1: No surprise that St. Ed is winning but it's a tight race between them and Mass Perry. Perry could overtake St. Ed's based on semifinal performance. Really impressed with this years Mass Perry team. A little surprise that Josh Arrendale is at 160 (wrestled 130 last year, and Bucksman ranked him in pre-season rankings at 135). However he seems to be doing well at that weight class advancing to the semi's.

D-2: Oak Harbor looks like a team that will challenge for runner up honors again at State. We all know that Miller is special, but Alex Bergman is coming into is own.

D-3: CVCA is running away with the D-3 title at MIT. I think everyone knew that Tomasello, Utley and Meadows would do well, but I am very impressed with Decatur, Ratay and Powers, all advancing to semi's. Those three have really stepped it up. This team is posed to win it all this year.

Don't stall then

I wasn't there but I heard the officiating was questionable at best. Actual wording was a little stronger from one of our parents. Walker did have the only take down of the match. If you have ever watched Brandon wrestle then you know he is not a staller. Either way, it sounds like it was a great match up.

The Utley and Walker match was called correctly and could've been called alot more. I don't think Brandon was trying to stall but he was pushed and dominated all over that mat! He did try several times to cut and circle back into the mat, but Utley did want he wanted with him. Walker was tough to score on because he was alweays going backwards. Walker is solid but not in Ultley's level.

Panther if you look at Baumspage MIT results in 1st round championship Tayse's match not listed??? error? At 3:30 pm 6808 would not have seen his name advacing.
I agree with the semi comment.

If you didn't watch the match then you shouldn't comment! The take down was at the the end of the match and was meaningless. Utley controled the match!
