Kirtland really shot themselves in the foot in this game from the kickoff. Laverde is a great coach, but he isn’t doing a great job today. Really bizarre seeing a non-passing team, that has only thrown 6 passes?…..the entire season, then throw more in this game than all season. Add in bad penalties and turnovers, and it really blew this game open.
If they replayed the game, I’m sure it would be a different game, but coldwater executed and Kirtland didn’t and ultimately that’s the whole point of the game. Great game by coldwater.

Kirtland shot themselves in the foot a bit, but Coldwater had a great game plan and executed flawlessly. Kirtland had no chance once they got behind given their limited ability to pass the ball .

It would not have been different. Kirtland has not developed a passing attack in three seasons. Maybe they will for next season.
It seems Marion local does not belong in 7 and now Coldwater does not belong in 6, maybe we should just move the whole conference into Div 1 and that would make it possible for other schools to win without putting the work and effort that the Mac schools do. Just a note you do know Coldwater girls won the state in volleyball

Tiger’s record is 214-20, with 5 of those losses in the state championship game and they never pass the ball much. I think their identity is just fine!

Except when they get down in a game, then they are not fine.
Not to be picky, but I believe K has lost 6 times in the state final.
