CG is stout with run defense. Linebackers are run aggressive sometimes opening the middle with play action as seen in the PH game. Tigers may want to throw from tight formations.
Talked to a couple of CG guys last night, (those pre thanksgiving bar reunions 😆), they are saying this is a very different Grove team than from the first three weeks, a lot of different faces on the field, especially on D apparently,,,not sure if this is true or why that would be, but if so then those games against the pass may not be a good measuring stick.

Eversole and Blankemeyer have been big keys to the defense, I don’t think either of them played before week 4 or 5

We are all now dumber for having read that.

Versailles will want to run the ball, but has some talented receivers and Qb with a strong arm that has potential move ball if the running game is stopped. During the PH game, Columbus Grove gave up several big passing plays and I was interested if many other teams were able to do the same?
To be honest, Grove was dealing with a lot of big defensive injuries early i

Cause they got a returning DE starter back from injury who is a good pass rusher, and a safety back from injury who moved another starting safety to cornerback. It gave them to 6'2" corners who are probably the best 2 athletes. And the kid who returned to play safety is a thumper at that position. It really changed the composition of the secondary. It should be a great game tomorrow night.

Would you go there........implying that thaVoice could be WRONG?

IS there some Fireball involved here?
Of clear and sober mind. Even geniuses are sometime wrong.

Mr. VTJ: Try to see it my way, only time will tell if I am right or I am wrong. While you see it your way, there’s a chance that we might fall apart before too long. But hey VTJ, We can work it out. We can work it out.

You are not in charge of the music on the bus.

Week 15 in the Books.
Congrats to CG for a valiant effort.... I'm sure all that weight lifting all year was to make it to State Finals. Boys showed a lot of heart.
Versailles's goal has been to win State and they have been lifting and practicing all year for it. Although feeling the affects of 15 games, thankful the Tigers were able to walk off the field with glee thinking about upcoming State week.

Versailles 28-13

Which squad is the home team?
I looked over each guess on this thread and believe you win by a point. Great prediction.
Columbus Grove should be a good match physically for Versailles. I think we'll see a competitive game. I do expect Versailles to ultimately take control, and win this game by 14-21. I'll go with:

Versailles 28
Columbus Grove 14
Second place prediction.

Extremely frustrating loss for Grove. That second quarter was about the worst they’ve played all season. Muffed kickoff return recovered by Versailles on grove’s 5, then a 3 and out followed by a shanked punt in their own territory, and after both of those they still could’ve been down by only 10 with the ball after halftime but gave up a deep ball in the end zone right before half.

That game was your D6 state championship IMO. Versailles is going to beat Kirtland by 20+ next week.

No so fast.
Versailles is a one trick Pony.

Kirtland eats one trick ponies for punch every day.

Versailles was called a “passing team” by some Macsters and did nothing last night but run the ball all over a defense that was excellent all year against the run game 😔
