DV Region 18

Congrats to Edison on the win tonight. The game was closer than the 42-21 score, IMO. Edison had just 2 more first downs than Triway (18-16) and only 36 more yards (386-350), but their running backs are tanks and hard to bring down! I think the story of the game belonged to Edison's defense, getting two huge goal line stands in the first half - Triway had 1st & Goal at or inside the 2 on two separate occasions and came away with 0 points. That was a big momentum buster for Triway heading into halftime. Then to start the 3rd quarter Triway fumbles the ball away, and Edison scores 2 plays later, and it was just too much to overcome. Good luck the rest of the way!

Think we could have two very good games. Whomever comes out of this region will have earned it.

I think those are pretty realistic predictions. I'm looking forward to seeing Oak Harbors offense vs Liberty Centers Defense. Liberty Center will be able to score around 21-28 in this game. The question will be if Oak Harbor can keep place with what has been a dominant LC defense. I'm speaking off hand, but I think only Patrick Henry has scored more than once on LC.

I also think that Edison will be able to do whatever they want to Eastwoods defense. Eastwoods offense will make some big plays, but at the end of the day, Edison will get more stops.
 
This is a great regional semi slate with only one loss between the 4 teams left. Any final thoughts before gametime tonight? I'm going with Oak Harbor for the upset of LC. OH is physical up front and will be able to match LC. They are also more athletic and have a real game changer at QB that is rare for this level of football.

Edison should be able to control both sides of the line of scrimmage tonight. Eastwood has struggled defensively and I think Edison will get enough stops to pull away from Eastwood.
 
Edison big and LC in a close on. Edison is just better at almost every position. If they play a clean game, I say they win by 4 tds.

I just don't see OH being more physical or more athletic than LC. I will say that a good throwing and running QB could be the one thing that gets OH the win. LC seems to have trouble with qbs who can adjust on the fly and take off running. I'll think they'll keep hin in check though in the second half and win by a score.

Edison crushed Eastwood. 49-28 final but game was far wider than 21 point margin. Chargers ran for almost 500 yards.

Edison knocks off Liberty next week.

Like I said. Eastwood was fortunate to hit 2 big kickoff returns or this would have been a running clock.

Edison and Liberty Center is going to be a great old school football game.

The first question is where will the game be at? Perrysburg?

If you are comparing this prediction with Eastwood D compared to LC D you’re crazy! I think this will be just like last week a lot of 8-9 guy boxes for Edison to stop LC.

LC & Edison have athletes this game will be won in the trenches. If Edison thinks it’s gonna run the ball down the field I don’t see that happening. LC needs to get there QB running alot more besides QB bootlegs. IMO
