DV Region 18

Norwayne is a decent team this year . There only loss came to a 10-0 1 seed in div 4 . Tho there qb and runningback are playing hurt

Liberty, Edison, and Oak Harbor will all have running clocks.

Eastwood/Archbold will be closer than the experts think. Archbold has been battle tested and typically plays well in the postseason.

Genoa will beat Keystone by 2 plus scores.

Boy oh boy was I wrong. The Blue Streaks and Comets let me down. Eastwood is really good (41-0 at half?!?!, cmon Archbold). And Genoa got spanked! At least the big 3 had the running clocks and we’re able to grab dinner at a decent hour last nite

Eastwood is legit. They had a 3 point game week 9 with Oak Harbor. I believe the top of this region is tough as any other in DV

Eastwood’s skill guys are probably the best in the region. And it appears their lines on both sides of the ball are improving each week. I would not be shocked if they somehow found a way to make it out of the region especially if LC would get knocked out by OH.

I’m looking forward to that OH v LC matchup. That should be a fun game.

Round 2 Matchups:
Triway at Edison
Eastwood at Norwayne
Liberty Benton at Liberty Center
Keystone at Oak Harbor

I think the high seed wins 3 out of 4 of these. Eastwood should take care of Norwayne.

Top 5 teams in this region are very good

Triway vs Edison: Triway is by no means a weak team but I believe Edison is on another level compared to them. Never the biggest team but always have very tough kids that play extremely hard and are very well coached. Give me Edison by 3 scores

Eastwood vs Norwayne: Should be a good one. 2 hour drive could certainly play a part in this game. I think Eastwood finds a way to make a couple more plays and make the 4 hour round trip worth it. Eastwood in a 1 score game.

Liberty Benton vs Liberty Center: I don't know much about these teams but I know LC is a very good team. I have LC winning by 3 scores

Keystone vs Oak Harbor: They have 1 common opponent in Genoa. Keystone won by 28 and OH won by 31. Being at home and the more talented team overall, I think Oak Harbor takes the win by 2-3 scores.

Liberty Center/Liberty Benton - You're not in Kansas anymore LB. Liberty Center by 24+. I just don't think LB has seen the level of physicality all year that they will get Friday night.

Edison/Triway - Triway has been battled tested but this could be a long night for them. The Chargers throw Herms, Finnen, and Wittmer at you running the ball. Hard to stop all them. Edison could be getting Blatnik back soon too?

Oak Harbor/Keystone - Interesting matchup. Was surprised what Keystone was able to do to Genoa last week. But, much tougher test this week. I like the Rockets balance and see them winning by 3 scores.

Eastwood/Norwayne - Might be the best game of the week in R18. Toss up. Eastwood thrives on big plays and quick strikes. If Norwayne can keep the ball in front of them and not turn the ball over, they have a great chance. If you let Eastwood's athletes loose, it'll be a long night.

Possible Locations Next week:
Lib. Center vs Oak Harbor at Clay, BG, Lake, Perrysburg (could still be playing)
Edison vs Eastwood at: Ross, Clyde (could still be playing), Port Clinton

I would prefer Perrysburg then Clay. Lake is nice but still smaller and BG was way too small for a LC playoff game a few years ago.

Perrysburg may be unavailable if they win. If Napoleon beats Bay, which I think is a possibility that would move Napoleon/Perkins week 13 game out that way too.

If Oak Harbor plays LC they will probably just put it in the same stadium that they did last year. Kinda like what happened with Coldwater and LC back-to-back seasons.
