Starting your freshman son at QB will do that to a team. The first time I would question Tiger Laverde. The real difference in this game has been the poor QB play for Kirtland.

This is the 2nd championship game (2/5) that the team with the most rushing yards has lost. Hoban also had more rushing yards in their loss to Toledo Central Catholic.
Both games were won by 1 score and the winning teams each had a defensive touchdown.

Both schools just did not execute well on offense - I guess that's because of the unusually strong defensive effort both teams displayed.
