StateChampion2012
MAC Homer
Seniors, I'm proud of you. Came up short but that happens. Hate having the feeling that we let the rest of the league down but you cant win a state championship by beating yourself.
Your guys didn't let anyone down. Great season by the Cavs. The tradition speaks for itself.Seniors, I'm proud of you. Came up short but that happens. Hate having the feeling that we let the rest of the league down but you cant win a state championship by beating yourself.
I’m sure all the Carey folks are in the stands now, but hope after the game someone explains the train whistle in the parking lot. It’s awesome for the atmosphere here.
Absolutely you do. But a league with our history, you also want to make them proud.I think I understand what you are saying 2012, but you don’t win for the league. Don’t you win/ply for your helmeted brothers, coaches and community?
Every week...surprised they left out the fireworks. Usually 3 or 4 big boomers.I’m sure all the Carey folks are in the stands now, but hope after the game someone explains the train whistle in the parking lot. It’s awesome for the atmosphere here.
Never thought of it until you mentioned it. Impressive fo shoCongrats Carey! Beating NMS and Coldwater back to back is impressive!
Congrats to the Cavs on a fine season!
God Bless Him! That is AWESOME!!Lol. That's a local crazy. He sits outside the stadium every game with that horn and a couple TV's with games on. I guess the cops showed up toward the end of the 4th and told him one more time and he was getting a ticket. He went door to door yesterday to find a spot close to the stadium.
These guys are tremendous. Hope someone from Spectrum & OHSAA watch the product OH Report is putting out and take some notes.Anyone looking for a replay of the game here is one that won’t cost you a cent.
I’d be all for them taking over all broadcasts. They know how to do it right. These guys are tremendous. Hope someone from Spectrum & OHSAA watch the product OH Report is putting out and take some notes.
Just watched the Coldwater/West Jeff game. Thats just a 1 game sample of CW so I say this timidly.
If Carey doesnt turn the ball over, they should win by a couple scores. I haven't seen the Cavs outmanned before except maybe 01 against Kenton. I think they are outmanned here.
But, you never know.
not sure about that... Give credit to a VERY solid Carey team, they do what they do... and they do it well!Probably the biggest “upset” of the weekend.
Versailles might take that crown now.Probably the biggest “upset” of the weekend.
Definitely not a "crazy"...Bleeds Blue that's it!!Lol. That's a local crazy. He sits outside the stadium every game with that horn and a couple TV's with games on. As I sit here Sunday morning, reflecting on what was, I view Carey a little different than previous, not so much on speed but on grit and strength.Possibly. I think alot of people seen footage of Carey playing in the snow and got the impression that we just pound the ball for 7 yds a pop every game with a huge, slow back. It also appears that people think our defense that has given up 3 legit TDs (one on a 20 yd drive after a KO return) in the playoffs was only able to shut NMS down because it was snowing and not because our guys were just as fast.
My gut says people will view Carey's team speed a little different come Sunday morning.
Difference in outcome IMO. Game was secured with power in the trenches to start second half. Power will nullify speed most every time. Sustained power was difference in this one.Jeesh. Coldwater is getting overpowered to start the second half.
It was very impressive…a coach’s dream, actually…to see Carey lined up in that Maryland stacked I formation and just move the ball with ease handoff after handoff after handoff, just imposing their will on a Coldwater D that was powerless to stop it. Some people love the sophisticated aerial attacks that are so common today in football, but to me watching Carey…or Clinton Massie..,.or the old Barry Switzer Oklahoma wishbone teams…just run the simplest ground attacks so well and pile up the yards on frustrated defenses is true football beauty.Difference in outcome IMO. Must be what that “Train Whistle” was representative off on the field.Todays formula for a championship!!! Exactly. With a big shot of Vallejo.....John Riggins

There’s plenty of teams we could mention. If you meant Chardon, yes…beautiful football.Don’t fo

Delaware Wing T. Oops I forgot they are from eastern Ohio. Can’t mention them right?
Every Good Ohio program has a crazy sob. Nothing to be ashamed of, imo.Lol. That's a local crazy. He sits outside the stadium every game with that horn and a couple TV's with games on. Modesty is such a great attribute. Not sarcasmNever thought of it until you mentioned it. Impressive fo sho
That explains everythingTime of Possession:
Carey - 34:34
Coldwater - 13:26
That is the truth was at the game that young man was a beastLike with every team that’s played Carey in these playoffs. Everyone has a plan until they get punched in the mouth by a 265 lb RB monster.
