D1 Remaining Teams

Similar to Jackson and Hoover (both within 7 miles of each other) having to go all the way up to Oberlin College to play each other about an hour and 15/ hour and half from home.
Glad to see questionable decisions made all around the state, and not just down here.

Enjoy your Thursday at home with the rest of the long blue (sad) line.

2023/2024 All-Sports Trophy Results
Moe - 70
St X - 61
Elder - 51
LaSalle - 38

And everyone is expecting Elder to struggle somewhat in the coming season for football and basketball as well. Closer to the bottom than they are the top. More lies I guess.

Correct: Orange 12-3, Liberty 7-8, Bradley 5-10
Berlin was 14-1 in the OCC Cardinal
Upper Arlington was 15-15 this year. They went 3-7 in the OCC Central. They scored 53 runs and gave up 53 runs. A lot of close games. Eight of the ten games were 3 runs or less. 6 of them two runs or less. I knew the Central was pretty good this year. The teams just looked good.

I think the two R4 games today are going to be dynamite. I think both will be low scoring affairs with some tremendous pitching. Mistakes today will be costly in close games. Pitching depth is going to be paramount for the team that makes it through this 2 game gauntlet over 24 hours. If Elder can pull this off, even I will be impressed. Those other 3 teams have some loaded guns!

The Moe/Butler game might go 15 innings.

Moe - 2
Butler - 1

Mason - 3
Elder - 2

Central was pretty strong. Liberty was 7-8 in league….. their jv team played the first half the league schedule while most of the varsity was suspended.

Just like Football and Basketball, Elder beats up on bad team's early in the playoff's, and gets then gets smoked vs. real competition.
I know I sound like a broken record, but the talent disparity is wide. It surfaces at this time in the playoffs in all 3 sports.

Elder kids do give their all however, I have to give them that. They never ever quit. Making a small comeback currently. Mason pulled Hanley WAAAAY to early. You can't give Elder any window of hope in a game like this.

Mason - 8
Elder - 4
