D1 Remaining Teams

Moe just went 18-0 vs GCL in the 3 big sports. Have had the best athletic program in Cincinnati the past 3-4 years. They don't cherry pick the best talent, and they aren't the most talented team in Ohio in Football, basketball and baseball. In the past 10 years, they have had final Max Prep Nationally Ranked teams the Football, Basketball and Football and have won back to back state titles in all 3 major sports. Who else in Ohio can make that claim? Zero to show for it, and still can't win?
And you didn't even talk about volleyball (multiple state titles) and soccer (state runner-up doing it in complete domination), who have been pretty unbelievable as well.

0 State titles with the best players.

There's that Elder inferiority complex we all know and love.

No. Moeller guy took a shot at Elder. I of course had to give it back. Like I said, they had easily the best talent in all 3 big sports and they came up short in all 3. Colossal failure this year for Moeller.

So if you describe what Moeller did a colossal failure, how would you then describe Elder's past 12 months?

Let me guess, they drastically over-achieved because they're The Little Engine That Could.

Elder homers are a complete embarrassment. You people literally prove me right on a daily basis. The most obvious inferiority complex out there.

Elder homers have literally been calling out Moe's success as cheating for 15+ years. Moe posters rarely even respond to the nonsense, they just laugh. The psyche of the Elder homer does more damage to the reputation of Elder than any other person, because they just come across as entitled, whiny and petty, and it's the direct opposite of what peers think of the actual players and coaches.

The "everyone cheats" diatribe is an insider created narrative to push attention away from their own shortcomings, and the Elder people just soak it up, while also KNOWING they don't have the talent to make it happen anymore. It's literally the greatest single example of how an inferiority complex exists.

Again, one of the reasons I respect @Omar the crazy person - he's been one of the few who has had the balls to actually call out the decision makers on this nonsense. The rest just suck at the teet of the legacy entitled circle who continue to prevent Elder from reaching their potential. That's just the obvious reality pal.

For crying out loud.....

I suggested you start your own thread in the debate forum about your gripes regarding Elder. You did, however, that seems to have withered on the vine so now you resort to hijacking threads that have nothing to do with the overall strategy of the school..... One of those threads was dormant for three years.

This is your third attempt to hijack a thread outside of the thread you set up. Take it back to the thread you set up.

Better yet, march your backside down to the school and take it up directly with the powers that be. If you are concerned about stepping onto private property, stand on the corner, with a sign listing your gripes. You'll have all the people you desire to complain to.

It's been 10 years and at least 6 user names on here..... enough is enough.

Now, back to the teams who are left in D1.......

Should be some great matchups.
Is there an active site where I would actually find the Remaining Teams.

More thread drama from the Elder guys. You know that you can go to the OHSAA site anytime you want for posted and updated brackets for any division. It's only been there for 20 years.

thread drama? The pot calling the kettle black.
Hilarious.
Does anyone see Perrysburg able to score enough? They did score 8 against St Ed’s

Like you actually care about Mason v Perrysburg.

You literally only posted that to get a rise out of "DH ruined another thread again". You also know where to find the public brackets. Passive aggressive weirdness.

I like and follow high school baseball. I was. hoping to get more info on the remaining teams. I don’t want your drivel. I can read brackets but was hoping for more info. I can meet you at Price Hill Chili and get all the Elder bashing I can take.

I kind of like playing back-to-back regional games because it shows what teams are still state caliber contenders even when their number one isn't pitching. State champion contenders typically have that depth, and these two teams certainly had that. Just two outstanding rosters.

You never know what can happen with baseball in one game.
I understand that. And in a way, I agree that it challenges the depth, I just don't understand what you wait so long to play the regionals and then play back-to-back games especially when both teams are local. The season is so darn short.

The coach got those teenagers to settle in for some pretty controlled, sound baseball yesterday. Considering who they were facing on the mound I thought they looked extremely poised and loose. His teams have knocked Moeller out of the tournament in ‘18, ‘22, and now ‘24 so hopefully your concerns have been put to rest. 👍
My concerns will be put to rest when the STATE CHAMPIONSHIP TROPHY comes home to Mason. When much is given, much is expected. Now quit almost doing it and do it. Call the Moeller coach if you need some advice.

Perhaps a one and out 4 team Regional and Finals would be better.

Sorry. I meant two and out after the semis are played
That has been discussed on this board before I think one or 2 states already do it. My thought is to extend the season to the weekend of Memorial Day or thereabouts (till the 3rd week in May) then start the tourney after that. By the end of May over half the teams will be done anyway and the season can be more developmental. I think I counted the weeks in this year's season and it was 8 or 9, 10 at the most if you included the first week of the tourney.

Huh? You were talking about the Mason/Moeller game...

"But the question is will the Mason coach play the type of game necessary to win tomorrow? How well has Moeller been scouted? What is the game plan both hitting and pitching? When a team gets to this level, coaching is super important and I have my concerns with Mason's coach."

Best of luck to Mason, they got the studs to win it all

Good luck Mason. I sincerely hope they bring home the State Championship. Badin too.

What specifically are your concerns? What aspects of coaching does the Mason HC lack compared to other HS varsity coaches. Enlighten us. Because at some point most of the responsibility is on the players, not the HC. Players make plays...coaches can't do everything. Athletes will decide this game.

Been reading about Twinsburg. A city of 19,000 with closed enrollment. Looks like a great small town. Wish I grew up in such a place.
Cool little town. I grew up close to Twinsburg and still follow their teams. Its also home to the worlds largest festival dedicated to twins. My brother had twins and I went once when they were young. Crazy scene.

I have talked about my problems with the Mason coach in previous threads. I really appreciate his program management and player development. I question his game management in close meaningful games. But yes, I agree players need to make plays but goodness, Mason has been to this point a lot in the last decade. So, I say again, I hope Mason joins East, West and Fairfield and brings back to the GMC and SWO another State Championship. If that happens, I promise you, I won't comment on it again. BTW, I kind of feel the same way about Badin but not as strongly. Good luck to them too. The have been knocking on door for years.
