Here is my statement: Boston and Cleveland are the best 2 teams in the East by a wide margin. They will have a lot of close games. It is nice to win one and build some confidence for themselves.

The Celtics have nothing to prove. I’m glad they got the win and it could be an important win as a tiebreaker for home court, but to say this is a statement win on Dec 1 is ridiculous. I’m sure the Celtics aren’t sweating the loss. I’m glad to see Darius on a roll, but White wasn’t there to get in his grill all night. Anyway, I’ve seen this movie many times over the decades with many Cavs teams only to watch them wilt in the playoffs. The Cavs are at the point again where only playoff results will matter in defining success, but they definitely need to pile up wins and get home court.

Defending champs, main competitor for top seed, just beat the Cavs recently, busts a Cavs losing streak, and last but not least the team that knocked the Cavs out of the playoffs last year which led to organizational overhaul. To say it wasn't a game to make a statement is silly.

As for players being out the Cavs were missing a few in Boston the other day, not to mention in the playoff matchup last year and nobody at the league office said wait a minute those don't count.

All true, and it’s always great to win, but unless it breaks a tie with Boston or gives the Cavs one more win than the next best team in the East at the end of April it will be long forgotten. The NBA is such an unnecessarily long regular season, completely lacking the charm of the even longer baseball season. Wake me up when the playoffs start.

Statement win for the Cavs. Washington had lost 14 straight, so they were statistically due for a win, but the Cavs buried them anyway.
 
You know what I miss? All the so-called fans from last spring that were posting about "Garland is terrible - trade him" and "Mobley is not good on offense - trade him". I miss those know-it-alls.

Where are they now? Lurking in the shadows, afraid to post, not man enough to say "I was wrong" and re-join the conversation about this really good team. Only brian is brave enough to venture out of the shadows, but is it bravery or foolishness? I'd say the latter, since he only posts negative about a team that is 20-3.

One of them is still saying to trade Garland (and play a journeyman shooting guard who's averaged 7 points a game in his career at point).

just like everyone expected, Jimmy Butler is the 3rd best player on the court tonight.
 
Garland and Duncan Robinson now outscoring Butler as well too. Butler 5th best player on the court tonight, wow!!

Tyler Herro ripping Ty Jerome’s MVP award right out of his hands head to head. Tough look for brian’s newest favorite player.
