Canton McKinley Football 2024

Hoover has lost enrollment, Lake has lost enrollment...what has population changes to the inner city done to McKinley and to GlenOak? Can a school in this day and age overcome the dynamics of its city? Massillon has been able to in its own way...but they are a D 2 school now...they were a medium D 1 school at one time...could their reduction in numbers have helped? I don't know the answers to this situation...but if you look at the high schools in the inner cities of Ohio...their football teams are not like they were...is it possible McKinley is seeing this issue now?.

Didn't they just have this discussion about Tyrell going to Mck a month ago?? Didn't someone ask why in the Hell would Tyrell leave a successful program like Hoban for a place like Mck in its current state and the Mck person just said wishful thinking????

Here is the thing about Hoban...at one time they recruited a lot...but because of the success of what they have done...they don't really recruit much anymore..they don't have to....they get kids who send in film or access to Hudl to become part of their program...I bet they say more no's then they do yes's..probably tell the kid they can come but they will play more if they stay at their current school.....Tyrell does live near 55th st...but with the money that Hoban has he is probably being paid handsomely...why would he want to come to McKinley and leave Hoban...the status of D 1 is not what it used to be

Before we start speculating about the next coach, let’s wait for an announcement of him being fired or resigning. I can tell you this much, If Hall doesn’t step down willingly it’s going to be very difficult to replace him if he still has the support of the superintendent and BOE

The super and Board are afraid of the dirt he has on them from pizza gate. They need to just pay him off or give him some money to just go away.🤣🤣🤣

The rule at CCS was that the football and basketball coaches had to have head coaching experience, but yet he comes up with the job. And Badre should have gotten to be the interim coach anyways when all of that stuff happened he was the OC. A lot of shady stuff. Pay the clown off so that McKinley can move forward.

See thats where we are jaded . The # of people in greater Canton that really are invested and care about Mck football is a shell of what it used to be .Yes, us in here ,which are few in total numbers care,but outside of that it is a fugazi that there are hundreds of people in 2024-25 who really have who the Mck football coach is high on their priority list of concerns anymore . And in fact, outside of Massillon people( whose lives revolve around it ), not alot of other schools are sweating or nervous about who coaches their football program. Its just not part of social fabric anymore . I went to2 Mck games at Benson this yr and if i threw a quarter from the north stands to the south stands I could hear it clink off of an empty chair

Don’t believe what you see. There Are McKinley faithful who are invested and concerned. Let us worry about McKinley.

How can you even think McKinley Alumni does not care about their Alma Mater just because we’re not sitting up in the stands. You have a class that graduates every year. McKinley has been in existence over a hundred years. Folks bleed red and black. You don’t know US and don’t pretend like you do.

Nobody cares or respects them outside their alum or residents

They will always be that school

just a friendly reminder to make sure you secure a belt or suspenders when entering their facilities because the rules are different over there.

never said Mck alumni dont care about alma mattar or dont have pride in being red and black mck grads , just saying sports ,the football program in general does not have the support it used to get .i recall my father ( a Mck grad) sponsoring a player back in the day . EVERY player had a sponsor that would take them out to dinner . the Mck alumni association was huge with sports .Its not like that today . People,students want the Pups to win, but there are so many other interests areas that take precedent over lives revolving around HS football. Like you said,Ill watch YOU take care of it .

If Mckinley would pay a coach like Massillon paid Moore and his wife etc...then Mckinley could get Tyrell or a host of other coaches from across the country .But Mckinley isnt going to prostitute itself like does . There ,you want the facts .You cant handle the Facts . Time to spit som truuuuff syreium inhere and MR DIMOND is just the guy to do it . I got more Rug in my lifetime than Stone Mountain Carpet .
