As many as 10 dead in mass shooting at Buffalo supermarket

So I guess you would obviously make an exception for anyone that completed military training at 18 to be a private gun owner. That seems obvious…
Can you imagine...at 18 you can go to war and fire an actual automatic weapon, but we won't allow you to own a semi auto as a civilian until 25.

In normal states, yes. One of their city hall reps was pontificating on camera yesterday, saying they would impose life with no chance of parole, as if they were going to stick it it to him like no other murderer before. Yeah, right.

I see where this guy pleaded not guilty last night. That is a defense I want to see.
Wait till you see Biden try to cop a plea.

His manifest did mention CRT and was textbook quotes of your daily Tucker Carlson show.

If you took his manifest and switched it with a Tuckers show prep/script no one would notice the difference.
Let’s get something straight regarding all this replacement theory talk. I don’t know where this crazy shooter, and others, came up with the theory some cabal of Jews is looking to replace whites with minorities, or whatever crazy version of this theory is out there on the fringe, but when Carlson and others on the right posit that the political left would love to flood states like Texas, Georgia, Florida, Arizona with immigrants who are far more likely to vote Dem as they are trying to gain a foothold in a new country…of course they are. Duh. It’s not some big secret they are looking to swing those states blue so they never lose a national election again and are free to really exert their power and advance their agenda of bigger government control. Anyone who can’t see that is a dunce.

Man, they had that NY Governor in a closeup during the press conference, and it looks like she has a mortician put that makeup on every morning.
That’s funny. I was thinking the same thing a few weeks ago when I saw her pontificating about something or other.

Every time you speak you say something more ignorant than the time before. How the hell did Obama divide our country. You Racists couldn’t handle a black man being elected President. The “let’s take our country back” crowd started their crap as soon as Obama was elected. Trump has done nothing but divide our country with every remark he makes. Again, why do the white supremacists flock to him? He is the most divisive person in American history. The Racist murderer in Buffalo will prove to be a Trump supporter and you all know it.
You are too dumb to even begin to understand it. My guess , by reading your post, is that you weren’t even born when Obama was in office

You really see the difference in the yappsters here. No one is offering any support or excuses for this guy. Everyone is calling for the death penalty. Compare that to the libs who never condemn anything BLM or Antifa does.
Great point, just shows the difference doesn't it?

Enough chit-chat. This guy supposedly comes from a stable family, and by some accounts, grew up as a relatively normal outgoing student who enjoyed sports, but was stuck indoors the last two years due to the pandemic. And we are expected to believe that in the past two years all these changes have taken place inside his head?

I'm sorry, but just sitting home researching websites doesn't push a person over the edge. Does his family have a secret life? Was he recruited in person by someone? Honey trap? If not, where's the motivation? Why Buffalo? And why that particular location, when you live 300 miles away?
I'm all for a speedy trial and execution, but I'll stay why-ny until we get the details. All this BS about "don't mention his name, don't talk about him. Firetruck that. I wanna know why. How in the heck can you even have a hope of preventing the chance of that happening if we don't find out?

If that's what people wanted, fine.

Hey If I knew the answer, I'd be on Mount Rushmore. The Swiss have riflery clubs in high schools and even middle schools run by their federal government. I wouldn't hate trying some form of that either. I'm sure the shooter thought this was his big rite of passage. It's the same way in the ghetto, often a rite of passage.

This shooting and the reaction to it show how broken our society is. Even on this thread, everyone rushes to blame one political party or the other. Others make jokes, and others politicize the shooting to get points in the abortion discussion. Sad.

I realize that common-sense RINOs like me have no place in the political discussion any more, but here we go:
1) Can't we keep our right to bear arms, but add some common sense gun controls?
a) better background checks at time of purchase
-- increase age restrictions (you need to be 25 to rent a car, for god's sake)
-- include a brief mental health evaluation
b) outlaw automatic weapons
-- this is 2022, no-one outside the military or the police needs a machine gun
-- all of the worst mass shootings have been with automatic weapons
2) We need term limits for the Senate and House. Literally everyone speaks out against the mass shootings, but the legislature is afraid to act on common sense guns controls because:
a) The NRA gives them lots of money. Mostly GOP legislators, but not all.
b) The gun lovers in their congressional districts say they will not vote for them next election.
c) Term limits solves most of this - and then the chickensh--t congress people can vote with their conscience, instead of protecting their seat

Now, both sides can tell me why I am wrong. When you do so, please explain to me why all the other countries like Great Britain, Canada and Australia are also wrong. They have gun controls and very few mass shooting incidents, while the US has 198 in the first 4.5 months of 2022.
Sorry dude, you lost me at outlawing “machine guns” 😂
It's almost like that theory could have been introduced to him through the TV show that constantly repeated it to him, he went down the rabbit hole and the rest is history ☹️
you’re such a simpleton

His "manifest" reveals this guy to be a maniac. And as is often the case it's hard to actually pin down what his politics are:

Later in the manifest, the shooter insists, “I would prefer to call myself a populist. But you can call me an ethno-nationalist eco-fascist national socialist if you want, I wouldn’t disagree with you.” He also repeatedly attacks capitalists, and rejected the conservative label because, he wrote, “conservativism is corporatism in disguise, I want no part of it.”

But let’s not pretend that, assuming the manifesto is legitimate, the rhetoric espoused in its pages means the shooter cannot be legitimately aligned with either major political party or political movement. While I would argue that the views expressed in the manifesto echo rhetoric of radical leftism, the manifesto is full of nonsense and garbage that is at times inconsistent. The people who were quick to exploit the situation to attack Fox News and conservatives were wrong and should be ashamed of themselves.
