Are you a true West Sider??

A construction fence has gone up in front of where Staples used to be in Western Hills Plaza. According to the property manager's website, a Ross Dress for Less and a Rally House are going in that space.

Rally House is good. This location seems like it will be smaller than their other stores. Ross is slightly better then a Burlington Coat Factory (anyone been into that store on Glenway? My God, what an absolute dump) but not by much. Better than an empty building I guess.

I think the forum filter removed the name of a popular sporting goods chain whose name is shortened form of Richard. I agree it would be nice to see that return, but in my experience Rally House has a better selection of pro and college apparel.
Kinda like when my phone auto corrects to "duck" like that is what I was trying to say. Rally House does has better selection, but Richards is bigger and offers more

FYI for my Delhi people. I have 2 close friends that live on Happy Dr and they have people on camera checking to see if cars are locked or not 2 separate times in the past week. Between 1-3 am. Just a heads up, pull your cars in the garage if you have one or lock your doors. They are undeterred by motion lights and cameras.

And Richards actually offers sports equipment. There's no place in Western Hills area for that these days where you can walk in and walk out with your sports equipment needs.
Depending on where you live on the westside there is Dunham Sports in Harrison OH. I’ve gone there a couple times since Richard’s left the westside and found their selection to be pretty good

I was a frequent customer of “Richard’s” until they decided to drop fishing and hunting gear. Had no use for them after that. 😣

Oak Hills High School is proposing to replace existing visitor seating at their football field with slightly smaller ADA accessible bleachers. Seating capacity would go from current 828 to 700. View attachment 79951
This is 30 years overdue. These have been by far the worst stands in the tristate for decades on the visitor side.

And no way the old bleachers sat over 800.

In the mail today I got a menu for Quebec Gardens Restaurant on Quebec Road. I know it closed a while back. Has anybody heard anything about the reopening or have ordered from them? I enjoyed going there back in the day. It's listed at the same location. Says they are open every day from 10:30am - 9:00 pm.

Update: This is a message posted on the menu online by the owner.

"Hi this is Harry Hsu. I am one of the brothers started Quebec Gardens in 1985. Please visit Quebec Gardens which will be next Best in Cincinnati ."
