I hear Buchtel will now only allow students from Buchtel and the opposing team to attend Basketball games, apparently the skirmish was started by students that didn't attend East or Buchtel. If you are student from another school you will have to be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

It is unfortunate but I would not be surprised if they went back to COVID type rules where only family members can attend
 
Hard to believe the Akron East Orientals lost to the Akron Garfield Golden RAMS. Mogadore just beat Akron Garfield and I thought Akron East would have romped over the Firestone Park Rams!!
 
My four biggest story lines for the City Series this year (in no particular order, other than #1) (3 positive; 1 negative)

1. The Akron teacher strike settles which allows the season to continue uninterrupted.
2. The emergence of a young, talented East squad. Buchtel has been the alpha dog of the City Series for quite some time; and it's good to see another team come along that will really challenge, if not supplant, them.
3. The continuing excellence of Buchtel. The Griffs remain on top until someone knocks them off. And the Griffs won't go quietly!
4. Too much trouble in the stands. Please don't let the adults ruin things for the kids!!!

If I recall correctly Buchtel was down their 2nd leading scorer at the start of that original game but he is back-obviously was not allowed to play on Sunday due to being off the original book from the first attempt. East was also down 6th man Ronin Kelly for the resumption of that game on Sunday as well since he was in Hawaii for a HS All star football game during game 1. Both teams are going to be gassed coming into this given the amount of games played in the last week but it should be another great game win or lose for both teams.

Yew should be a good game tonight east got a good team this year will be a dangerous team in the playoffs this year
