Yes . They did not change when the # of divisions went from 4 to 7. They did go from D2 (of 4) to D3 (of 7) in several sports and boys track probably will go from D1 to D2 (I haven't looked) but I believe every current member in the new conference (in football and basketball) is D4. So THS and Kent and CF are larger than all of them at this point.I did a quick search. Tallmadge has been D3 in football since 2013. 12 years now.
Interesting -- thanks! Here are the enrollment numbers:

Overall the league is a good fit for every team. Hopefully it lasts for a long time.Tallmadge will be a heavy favorite to win the conference championship in (virtually) every sport when added to this new league. If I had to guess, that is why Tallmadge left the league they are currently very competitive in.
LOLZ!Overall the league is a good fit for every team. Hopefully it lasts for a long time.

come on now devs. r u? LOLZyeah haha gonna miss the burb
but they did. baseball works. but they dont belong in the mac. the mac doesnt have a single school with a hockey team, lax team, swim team. dont even make sense why theyd go back. They never should have left.
I get what you're saying but overall Kent just isn't the same anymore in football and even hoops though they are competitive in basketball. It seemingly usually comes down to football for league choices and it is by far the most publicized sport for the community.come on now devs. r u? LOLZya'll will love playin ball at jeddpark. even my comets can beat them spartans

maybs revere and copley join too is word. which would be hotter thannnnn extra thick sizzzlin bacon
Is Aurora down this year? I would expect them to be the perennial favorite. They are always solid. Have a strong youth system if I remember correctly. Even have some college D1 talent from time to time.Tallmadge had some trouble scoring runs last year and lost a couple hitters. They will be in the mix, but to be successful may have to win a number of lower scoring games. They may have a pitching staff that allows that.
If I recall they have some hitters coming back. I am not sure of their pitching depth. The league schedule is interesting this year, with a lot of Monday/Tuesday home and homes which will prevent a #1 pitcher from pitching twice against the same team (barring make-ups which we know will happen with our weather). Is Aurora down this year? Interesting. I have a little more time on my hands these days and am getting interested in following and re-learning about what is going on in NE Ohio baseball. I used to follow that like I do football. Planning to get to as many games as the weather will allow. If I recall they have some hitters coming back. I am not sure of their pitching depth. Don't know if this plays into Aurora being in the middle of pack. I see a lot of Lacrosse sticks making there way into school in the morning, when dropping my daughter off.Interesting. The Mon/Tues set up is a departure from what I recall. Used to be that it was either Mon/Thur with OOC on Fridays and/or Saturday. Most coaches treated the OOC game like college teams treat midweek games and threw a younger player they were trying to develop for the future.
Getting back to Aurora, I wonder why they've slid a bit. They were middle of the pack last year and from the sentiment here, they will be middle of the pack again this year.
Great point. That could be a big part of it. I know lacrosse is taking some of the best athletes away from baseball at the youth level in many communities. Not in the loop enough (yet) on HS baseball to know what impact it is having there. I assume there are a lot of high schools that still don't field varsity lacrosse teams? If so, it would be interesting to look at the trend as far as how the baseball programs have fared since lacrosse was introduced vs the schools that don't play lacrosse.Don't know if this plays into Aurora being in the middle of pack. That and I have a friend whose son plays football at Aurora and he said many kids specialize in fooball there. It's not encouraged by football coaches but the kids feel like it's in their best interest.Don't know if this plays into Aurora being in the middle of pack. It’ll be broke up within 5 years, Woodridge/Springfield/Ravenna/Field will be gone. Then we’ll be right back to where we always are Stow/Hudson/Wadsworth/Nordonia will be joining, it’s a never ending cycle. Why would D4/D5 Schools stick around so D2/D3 Schools can feel good about competing?Overall the league is a good fit for every team. Hopefully it lasts for a long time.
Maybe the just like beating D4/D5 Schools. Give it a few years, Stow/Hudson/Nordonia/Wadsworth will be looking and Tallmadge will want out.Tallmadge will be a heavy favorite to win the conference championship in (virtually) every sport when added to this new league.
