Never buy (or build) when you can lease.
Also, to be fair, don't think we need a 10k seat stadium. There aren't the crowds nor performance demanding it.
So, guess this means Woidke is the QB for 1 year and Chaloub backup.
Still trying to see how those of us who actually post here are so far wrong....
And his last two seasons of football have ended with injuries.Chaloub was on both the varsity and JV rosters this past season.
Did he play much in JV games? I believe he was injured and that is why Donovan was brought up from the freshmen team.
Chaloub is a starter on JV basketball right now. The game program lists him at 6-4, 200 pounds
I agree with tom48's comment - it would not be surprising if Woidke concentrates on basketball, where he already has D1 offers. If he's going to play in college athletics, it'll be in basketball.
So, basically, a already stagnant Welo offense now has a lack of QBs. That's fantasticAnd his last two seasons of football have ended with injuries.
The QB coaching hasn’t been good since Nick retired. I didn’t have much faith that Frontino would develop had he stayed. So, basically, an already stagnant Welo offense now has a lack of QBs. That's fantastic
Both will be back.Just not taking Ignatius very seriously if that offensive coordinator and scheme are coming back
Brian Ferentz is availableBoth will be back.
He's not going anywhere. They made a teaching position for him.Just not taking Ignatius very seriously if that offensive coordinator and scheme are coming back
Bring back Larry Arthur from retirement. Problem solved. He's not going anywhere. They made a teaching position for him.
Elvis needs to be in the house again.Bring back Larry Arthur from retirement. Problem solved.
Joking, but...
Completely agreeElvis needs to be in the house again.
Reason for only 1 at Byers last year was Franzinger wants to play Friday games, and that's not realistic at Byers with VF and Normandy.Where would St. Iggy play their home games for 2024? I forget the reason why they don't use Byers Field anymore.
Maybe they split games between Wasmer Field and Case? Don't see many other fields within driving distance that are feasible for the Wildcats unless they somehow decide to reup with Byers.
My bet is that JCU will be the "home" field as needed and Wasmer will be used for the lower turnout games, to the dismay of west siders. If Euclid wasn't such a dump it would be a great home stadium.
Outside of our game there isn't much need for a big stadium, last years holy war wasn't even a sellout. The age of streaming is upon us.
Merry Christmas everyone.
Interesting. I guess I thought JCU would be all over it considering it's a great way to get prospective students on campus.JCU has been very uncooperative with Ignatius in pretty much all aspects of interaction. I understand Ignatius inquired about using JCU last year and the college was pretty much against it, putting on ridiculous requirements.
JCU has shown that it has no interest in promoting itself if it requires going out of its way. The St. X - Ignatius game was moved to JCU years ago in order to let the college open itself to high schoolers from Jesuit schools. Were there reps? No. So, they can pound salt.Interesting. Won't be JCU. They shot their wad by becoming Benny home field that along with their interaction with Ignatius is just very very oddMy bet is that JCU will be the "home" field as needed and Wasmer will be used for the lower turnout games, to the dismay of west siders. Doubt it. Scheduling logistical non-starterIs Lakewood Stadium going to be back in the picture for the Golden Tornado?
Agree. Of course I would love Strongsville to work out, if even on table, bur Fairview makes most sense if Byers doesn't happenFairview could probably work. I don't think Ignatius has to worry about capacity crowds these days.
