2024 St. Ignatius Football

I’m just an outsider but I don’t think things are as bad as they seem. You just have a schedule that is absolutely ridiculous. If this Ignatius team were to play the Euclids, the Cleveland Heights, the Parma schools, Holy Name, Padua, maybe Strongsville, etc, you’d be looking at a 6-4 type team that needs a little work. Schedule realistic teams that are at your talent level and get back to the fundamentals. Good luck Ignatius.
They are as bad as referenced at and the issues have been hit on. Admitting that the only way to be an average team is by scheduling down significantly actually admits that the program simply needs to put lipstick on a pig rather than addressing the issues. The issues are not all LB. End of day, it is on the HC if there are issues in the program, that includes with another coach.

This arguing and bickering among Ignatius fans and finger pointing will not help the program. Lots of people are upset with the state of the program but turning on coaches will only further harm the culture. Kids do read these boards and they do hear people complaining, many will quit as a result. Bottom line, let the powers that be do their job and evaluate the program and make changes. Fans, get out of the way and don’t add to the problems.
I can't stand this type of thinking.

I hate that people aren't allowed to provide criticism when its warranted. It's obvious something major is wrong, sugarcoating it only further blankets the problems. You can be critical without getting personal.

Alumni and fans of the program should absolutely be heard, even when things are bad. In fact, it's a great sign when they care enough to admit things need to change. It's WAY better than just sitting back and not feeling they can express their point of view for fear of retribution, which happens at many schools that attempt to censor opinions if they are not positive.

The school certainly wants to hear from us when it’s time for donations.

It’s still 2024 and a lot can change but the way things are going find me the wins on next year’s schedule.

It's odd that the same "arguments" about the changing school, tuition, endowment, parental interference, etc. cannot be found on the soccer or basketball forums, or any other forum. Hmmm. Could it be that maybe it's only the football program that is a problem? 🤷‍♂️
I think a few already said this?

Well, you have been the chief voicebox of "the changing school, tuition, endowment, parental interference, etc. " cabal, so I suppose you would know the answer as to why none of the other sports have these concerns brought up.

Not rocket science, better athletes for the sport they are in a maybe better coaching, hello!

never said anything one way or the other about "changing school", only an excuse anyway.
Parent interference, yes that is not acceptable! Tuition and endowment, yes us the money to lower tuition!!! period!!!

19 losses in two years. I’d say it’s pretty well burnt, but please, keep telling us what we should do with the Ignatius football program.
Let the powers that be make the call. Your voice can be heard through your alumni donations or lack of.

That makes me think of my dear friend CatAlum, who with his Jesuit self-righteousness disaproved of the stripes. 😁 I loved to poke the bear and entice him into endless criticism over the stripe, and he never failed to deliver. Since he was from Euclid, I often said he should have gone to St. Joes. :stirthepot: God bless my close friend CatAlum and may he RIP.
