2024 Massillon Tigers

Seth Bailey, a senior at Kent State who is working as an intern for the Massillon Athletic Department, based his Harding-Massillon preview around my thoughts regarding both programs. It was great talking to him last week!

Guess Reno just wanted to whoop our A** and walk away and get the last win. I would love to re new that series.

It would be beneficial to both programs, and 2 of the best attending fan bases in OH. And I respect their program personally. A shame. Gotta say though not my favorite drive. :)

Every year this game doesn’t happen Reno is robbing his kids of an amazing opportunity.
The truth is Massillon should never agree or want to play Steubenville again until Reno is removed as head coach. He should have lost his job over the rape scandel when he covered stuff up and basically advocated the entire ordeal because they were his star players. Coaches that bend or break rules to keep their stars playing aren't teaching the kids correctly and should be jobless. It's not pro football, they are kids in high school, learning first, sports second or lower. Even in the pros offenses like this if caught are usually dealt with severely. Problems of modern society, kids don't get held accountable and to a high moral standard as they should be.

Amen to that. I am a retired public school teacher and now I occasionally substitute teach. I am appalled at the disrespect and foul language, talking back, that kids show toward adults now a days. No consequences, no accountability leads to entitled children. The biggest problem imo is the break up of the family. Divorce, single parents, step children, parents in trouble. No role models, etc, etc.

Don't know how you do it today, Pete. Kudos for continuing to try and teach.

Kudos. I could not deal with that from children. But they’re allowed to do it so they do. Very sad

I find these things to be relative. Every older generation says the same thing. I can tell you, we were brutal to some of our subs, lol. Sorry about that.

For instance my kids just graduated hs past couple years, and I can tell you fist fights and bullying was way more common back in my day, fwiw. Also we didn't have mass media then. I could tell several instances that would make national news if they occured today. Teachers put hands on you. For better or worse.

There have always been behavior issues with kids in school. This is true, however when I was growing up in the 1960's family's were more together then and if you got in trouble at school you got it 10 times worse at home. You also didn't have the widespread disrespect from children that you have now where kids talk back, disrespect, physically and verbally challenge and assault teachers cus them out, etc

You could copy and paste that diatribe for any of that last 10 generations and for any in the next 10. Is what it is. I personally do not see things as bleekly. I think the media does this to us. And old age. ;) Above was not my recent K-12 experiences for my kids or all my nephews. I graduated from Massillon in 82 and I personally don't think their experiences today are that much different than me and my friends when I was there, maybe even better. Try to be more positive.

There is one thing I can say we did not have - active shooter drills.

Guess he didn’t play I didn’t even think about it till you guys said something
Name appears 0x in the stat sheets

Looks like the Tigers have climbed into the 4th spot in the harbins, any chance we can stay there? I'd like to have 2 home playoff games instead of just 1. Obviously we have to win.

Don't have to be top four to have two home games though. Just have to have best record of the two teams in round 2
