I heard Cruse accepted a job at Miami as the Tight Ends Coach. Bad timing, great for him and his family if the DI Coaching world was his dream.

Anybody know anything about Jayden Seay? Apparently he was at Kings last year, broke his collarbone in the preseason, and never played. But he’s at every camp and showcase, posting impressive workout videos on Twitter, and making visits to lots of D1 schools. I was picturing dual 1000 yard receivers for the Knights, along with Nate Lyman, but according to his bio, he’s apparently now at Lakota East. 🫤

Oh well, looks like Nate’s little brother will be out there with him this year, and he’s already got an offer from UMass. Hoping to see a return to the high octane offense of two years ago.

So did the Lakota East transfer who is now at Little Miami come over with Chenults uncle who was at East last year? We already have 3 kids who played QB last year returning. No offense to this transfer, but I hope one of the home grown kids wins the QB job. They have all been in the program for years and have worked hard and stayed loyal. I hate how the " transfer portal" is ruining both college and HS football. Makes me sick.

Miller and Brewsaugh both had games with 330+ passing yards last year and have more experience against ECC defenses than Sandhar. I think Chenault will make the right call.

Crazy how that works. He’s been balling and getting 0 looks. He leaves and now he has a D1 offer.
This is probably more of a “going to a bunch of camps” thing than an “at a more prominent school” thing.

I think if they are smart they will use Miller elsewhere if they have other options which it seems they do.. He is too athletic to just be their QB and played WR his sophomore year and could play a little defense too. Brewsaugh can sling the ball that is forsure.

Anybody hear anything about how it's going in Morrow? I know the kids really like Chenault, but I haven't been around this summer to get the full or any scoop.

Here’s my guess on how the conference finishes up.
1. Anderson Loaded with talent and got key transfers.
2. Winton Woods I think they get back to having a decent Offense compared to last years.
3. Kings I believe will get back to being a top team in the conference again. Also solid returning QB.
4. Lebanon Solid team returning with QB.
5. Milford Lost a good senior class.
6. Loveland I think takes a small step back with losing their coach.
7. West Clermont Medium of the road team could see them ahead of Loveland.
8. Little Miami I like the hire they got, believe he can get them in the right direction.
9. Turpin Could see them beating Little Miami and taking the 8 spot don’t know much about them.
10. Walnut Hills Will be at the bottom until the administration treats football serious. Need a coach to be able to retain talent from transferring out and be able to get guys to transfer in. Tough being next to Withrow, Purcell, and some of the other private small schools.

Withrow and Purcell are not really schools Walnut tends to lose transfers to. Over the past couple years, the biggest beneficiaries of Walnut transfers (in all sports) have been Princeton, Anderson, WW, and Mt. Healthy.

I agree I was talking more about incoming Freshman who can choose where they want to go. If you’re stuck in that location and you believe your son is good at football you’re more likely to send them to high school at those schools rather than Walnut.

And a catholic school or two sprinkled in there with universal choice in play

Winton Woods DB Seaonta Stewart Jr. commits to Indiana. He's the second ECC player to commit there and first since Brody Foley three years ago.

247Sports has eight ECC seniors ranked in its list of top Ohio prospects. Five of them have now committed to an FBS school, and it's likely the rest will as well:

#4 - Winton Woods DE Justin Hill (Alabama)
#20 - Winton Woods DB Seaonta Stewart Jr. (Indiana)
#24 - Anderson TE/DL Caden Piening (UCF)
#58 - Winton Woods CB Donmiel Rogers Jr. (uncommitted, 9 D1 offers)
#63 - Winton Woods OT Raphael Greene (Toledo)
#76 - Anderson WR Trace Jallick (uncommitted, 6 D1 offers)
#104 - Kings WR/DB Nate Lyman (Eastern Michigan)
#108 - Kings OL Kage Payne (uncommitted, 24 D1 offers)

TriStateFootball preview for Anderson, featuring video interviews with HC Evan Dreyer and five players (Burnam, Piening, Jallick, Saunders, Alston). Heaps high praise on the Raptors.
