2024 Cincinnati Area Open Jobs

I believe Goedde was hired on a split vote. AD inherits the situation. The no votes in the school never changed. The normal BS whining parents probably wore AD down. If young Fleming was the plan, why it wasn't back channeled was a mistake. Meanwhile CHCA hasn't had a HC since December. Great work Athletic Department.
It was back channeled he just didn't like what he heard or learned in the meeting

You a LaSalle Alum? You donate a good amount of money? Tell us more about you experience with the LaSalle AD?
I’d rather not out myself but yeah, I’m an alum and have had a multiple interactions with the man….. idk what proof out there is better than the fact that he made someone who basically lived La Salle basketball for most of his life not want to coach there (other things like Goedde probably factored in but still)

Alot of people just want to be in charge at the high school level to control things in their favor. This is RAMPANT in administration across Cincy high school sports. The number of coaching and administration positions that have gone to parents of players has skyrocketed in recent years. And the leaches that hang on to these decision makers. It's not about winning, it's about influence.

I’m having a hard time understanding why no jobs were filled Friday. Are these guys second guessing their decisions and backing out?

I was today it's looking like McNick's coach is the front runner for the LaSalle gig.
Not laughing at the McNick coach, I'm laughing at you rarely getting a prediction right. Your "what I was told" never pans out.

Wonder if this coach ever played music too loud.

You and JElder's accuracy might be lower than Omar's.

I don’t think the mcnick coach is taking the LaSalle job.
And if he does, they might need to look at getting out of the GCL. I'm sure he's a decent coach, but Moe and X are going to be VERY good the next few years. And Schoenfeld is a great coach that will get every ounce of talent out of even a talent depleted Elder program.

Lasalle cant compete, they dont get those kids anymore, they are a small d2 school trying to compete with d1 and they have a different selection of kid too.

LaSalle isn't a good job. 4th in GCL. As for Higgins, like many these guys are passionate about basketball but who would give up a retirement plan you invested 20+ years in and also an immediate pay cut? They have wives, children, and not a vow of poverty.

Which again, makes no sense for them to be in the GCL if the GCL has schools in 3 different divisions. If Elder and LaSalle are going to move down, just put them in the GCLN. That's pretty much the schedules they play anyway in basketball.

Put X and Moe in the GMC and call it a day.

Elder and LaSalle won't be able to compete with X and Moe over the next 5 years. There is very little basketball talent at both schools.

Goedde was never the right hire. He set the program back 10 years.

There's a reason why Moe and Elder have never gotten rid of Kremer and Schoenfeld. They provide excellence and longevity. LaSalle should have never gotten rid of Fleming.

Simply relaying who I was told was LaSalle’s leading candidate.
Again, you always talk about "what you were told" and it's never right. You and JElder always act like you know all the decision makers, and you don't. It's all 2nd and 3rd hand info from your Elder cronies.

As opposed to me who's been right and you all tell me I'm always wrong. Funny how that works.

Elder to D2 this week. Book it.

Elder is already D2, the classifications came out last week.

I disagree on the LaSalle job perception. I think its a great job right now. They are D3 and on the upper end of D3. They can compete and play tough competition all season long and then go and make a run in the D3 tournament.

Yeah, I know. I'm just saying it will be official this week when they refuse to move up to D1, because the daddy ball guys want trophies over competition. There's no way Elder should be in D2.
We are getting off topic but Daddy ball or not, if the referendum passes this week, I have heard from Elder coaches that they plan to elect to play D1.

If LaSalle drops out of the conference, the remaining schools really should look to go to another conference. A 3 team league is just foolish - the all league teams are already watered down.

Good, that's what they should do. I can respect that.

And I agree on the GCL.

Tough job during regular season as it will be tough to compete in GCL. Good job during the tournament as they should do well in D3.
