Remember: teams are now worth more points when they used to be. Example: beating a D1 team used to be worth 6 points. It's now worth 6.5. IOW, a fair comparison would need to account for that if you want to do apples-to-apples.From what my buddy compiled using Joe Eitel's Harbin Rankings back to 2000, the most computer points ever earned by a team since 2000 is St. X in 2007 with 45.4354
According to Joe Eitel if Massillon beats McKinley they will finish with 45.7555 which would be the highest known Harbin point average.
Just for grins, I recalculated X's 2007 total using current values. They would have 49.5292 points (63 first level, 415 second level). Interesting thing about that X team: for all the supposedly good teams they beat to rack up those points, their regular season opponents went 1-5 in the playoffs.
