You can’t let both walk. Boyd should be cheap, he’s pushing 30 and a Slot WR. Unfortunately, Higgins is gone. He’s a #1 WR on just about any other team and he’s going to get paid big $.

The entire Defense needs to be re-evaluated.

DE- ? Maybe cut Hubbard
DT- ?
NT- ? Let Reader walk
DE- Hendrickson- stud, not going anywhere

LB- Pratt- solid
LB- Wilson- also solid

CB- Taylor Britt- looks to be pretty good
CB- ? Turner is a bust
NB- Hilton- solid
SS- ? Battle isn’t getting it done
FS- Hill- nothing special but only so many gaps they can reasonably fill.

All O Lineman under contract to return besides Williams at RT? Those Returning aren’t very good. Even Brown got embarrassed the last 2 times the Bengals had the Ball. Better keep Browning because Burrow will continue to get banged up or injured behind this O Line no matter who they may add.
 
If you are Taylor, what do you do for Sun in a meaningless game? Do you play your starters for the whole game ( since it's the last one) or do you play a lot of backups to see how they perform in game time situations and if you want to keep them?

I'm guessing the Browns will be resting a lot of regulars since there spot is locked in. Could be like a preseason game.

Anyway, Sunday clinched one thing for the Bengals. We know beyond any doubt that Burrow is the Bengals. The rest of the roster isn’t built to sustain winning without him. Sure, the Bengals can win a few games with backup Jake Browning.

But the only way for a team to have a legitimate chance to overcome losing a superstar quarterback is to have a great defense, stellar running game and serviceable, game-managing backup QB. It’s why the Cleveland Browns are heading to the playoffs with 38-year-old quarterback Joe Flacco.

What?

Their mid-season skid with Burrow coincided with Hubbard missing time. He doesn't put up big sack numbers like Hendrickson but he's their best DT against the rub.

Did you see that run defense with Reader off the field? I understand this would be his 3rd contract and almost 30 (if not already), but he's an elite DT against the run.

Pratt and Wilson both had average seasons by their standards, but they're both locked into deals and aren't going anywhere.

Little early to call Turner a bust, he is a rookie after all. He was really hung out to dry in the 2nd half the season without CTB. He was at his best rotating with Awuzie - who is going to be gone.

Hill didn't take the leap that many hoped, but he also essentially redshirted last season behind Bates. Basically a rookie this year.

Battle didn't play the first half of the season but even as a rookie, easily outplayed the veteran FA Scott.

Their defense is likely to be exactly the same 11 thay started Sunday:
Hendrickson, Reader, Hill, Hubbard
Pratt, Wilson, Hilton
CTB, Turner, Hill, Battle

They desperately need some more DL and secondary depth. They need another strong pass rusher opposite Hendrickson. The backup DTs were BAD.
