They have done it before in 2017. It really isn't that hard.
I get it's possible, but most community's wouldn't leave fans at the stadium instead of them going to the game.

Ignatius/St. Edward at Euclid
HS football is not what it used to be. I bet if you offer the girls soccer team, the wrestling team, The Glee Club, the tennis team, or any other team not directly connected with the football team a chance to make extra funds by working concessions/other areas they will skip the football game.I get it's possible, but most community's wouldn't leave fans at the stadium instead of them going to the game.
Can park about 600 cars within 100 yards of the gates. Seats over 6,000.Get there early we will fill it and there wasn't much parking last time we were there
No i meant that Mogadore and Cuyahoga hts are half as close to Boardman Stadium then Kenston and Chardon. Seems like it would have made more sense to send Mogadore/Cuyahoga Hts to Boardman. But whatever Im sure the squads are just happy to be in week 3 of the playoffs. Each too small.
I know that. You know that. But many other people don't. Or choose to ignore.the issue (has/will continue) is the schools willing to put in a bid are usually the same schools that usually make playoff appearances.
Should have been Brunswick. Shocked they picked Brunswick for holy name Mansfield, but what do I know. They could have put us at Boardman or Huron I guess
Very large school with a huge booster program. Other sports families will fill inHow is Mason going to host when they are playing that night?
Kings gets a home game because Mason was the only other stadium that offered grey poupon mustard for the hot dogs….this is a big game and you have to have the right condiments for the pretzels and dogs….Someone explain to me how having the Winton Woods vs Kings game @ Mason is a “neutral” site? Kings is only 10 minutes from Mason. But I guess at the end of the day, you gotta go out there and play! Can’t wait to play Kings again though, it is always an exciting game to watch!
Allegiant doesn't fly into Youngstown anymore unfortunately so you are out of luck hahaDoes anyone know of any cheap flights from Chardon or Kenston to Youngstown Boardman?
I was wondering that too! I wasn’t sure if Mason was gonna be on the tableHow is Mason going to host when they are playing that night?
Thinking the OHSAA has resorted to using a dart board while blindfolded for some of these choices!! 2 Geauga county schools traveling 60+ miles south to play a game! REALLY!Canfield vs. Ursuline at Niles.
Yes as others have already mentioned, Chardon and Kenston is at Boardman
I dont know if anybody has insinuated higher seed should get preferential treatment. But I would think OHSAA would take into consideration a stadiums parking size, seating size on both sides of the field, concession stand size, restroom facilities, etc...but im not sure they consider travel time for parents/fans, especially on friday games when some people work till 6 pm or later.I know that. You know that. But many other people don't. Or choose to ignore.
And contrary to popular belief, there is nothing that says the higher seed gets preferential treatment for location. Or that travel distance has to be equal between the two schools.
I'm going to take a wild uneducated stab (emphasis on wild) on a few of these. 100% guarantee that many of these will be wrong:
Friday
R1:
Mentor-Medina: Byers Field. You can write that one in granite.
Ed's-Ignatius: Baldwin-Wallace?
R4:
Lakota West-Elder: Fairfield
Mason-Moeller: Princeton (Moeller would be playing at Mason if they were playing anyone BUT Mason)
R5:
Hudson-Riverside: Euclid
St. V-Hoban: If InfoCision was still an option, it'd be the obvious choice. But since it's not... Barberton?
R6:
Olmsted Falls-Avon: North Ridgeville
TCC-Highland: Sandusky
R7:
Big Walnut-Massillon: Ashland HS or Ashland U
Westerville South-Lake: Ashland HS or Ashland U
(With Mansfield playing Friday night, I can't think of a plausible place other than these for either game)
R8:
Kings-Winton Woods: Lakota East
Anderson-Edgewood: Norwood?
R9:
Ursuline-Canfield: Austintown (pretty confident on this one)
Kenston-Chardon: West Geauga?
R10:
Padua-Norton: Brunswick
Mansfield-Holy Name: Wadsworth? (Medina would be perfect)
R12:
Tipp-Western Brown: Xenia
Wapakoneta-Badin: Troy
R17:
Perry-Garaway: Aurora (or close to it; maybe Nordonia, Stow, or Twinsburg)
Mooney-South Range: Boardman (like the Austintown prediction; I feel good about this one)
R20:
Madeira-Valley View: Middletown or Monroe
Brookville-Milton Union: Northmont or Butler
Saturday
R13:
Buchtel-West Branch: Ravenna (maybe North Canton)
Canton South-Jefferson: Mollenkopf
R14:
Elyria Catholic-Glenville: Byers (again, write it in granite)
Van Wert-West Holmes: Marion
R15:
Columbus East-Steubenville: New Philadelphia
Ready-Indian Valley: Zanesville
R16:
Clinton-Massie-Wyoming: Little Miami (where they played last year)
McNicholas-Taft: Norwood
R21:
Cuyahoga Heights-Mogadore
Dalton-Kirtland
One will be at Nordonia; the other will be at Twinsburg
R24:
Versailles-Marion Local: Sidney
Tri-Village-Allen East: Piqua
R25:
Southern-JFK: Salem
Lucas-Danville: Mount Vernon (if Mansfield doesn't want it)
R28:
New Bremen-Ansonia: Greenville
Minster-Fort Loramie: Wapakoneta
Feel free to mock at your leisure.

Bet NOBODY thought Kenston vs Chardon would be played in Boardman! Not even myself. Makes NO sense!!!I'll take a crack at this (gonna stick to NE Ohio predictions)

I was thinking about going to the Ursuline - Canfield game in Niles (I am a Youngstown area native).Nice: Euclid just showing off with that beauty. Saw some others not on my list, I'd like to attend. Particularly down in the SE.
Sidney Memorial Stadium
Euclid Community Stadium
Liberty Center Kip Kern Field
Portsmouth Clark Athletic Complex
Middletown Barnitz Stadium
Westerville Central High School stadium
Mansfield Senior Arlin Field
Philo Sam Hatfield Stadium
Niles McKinley Bo Rein Stadium
That stadium is a great place to watch this game.. Booster Dogs!!!
Me as well. Good choice.I was thinking about going to the Ursuline - Canfield game in Niles (I am a Youngstown area native).
But now that I see Ed’s - Ignatius is at Euclid’s new and very nice stadium (which is five miles from my house), and I have never attended an Ed’s vs. Iggy game before, I think that will be my choice.
Playing @ Bobcat Stadium in Bowling Green now didn’t make sense going to Napoleon when BG is less than 15 miles for both schoolsElmwood vs Eastwood
Charles Buckenmeyer stadium Napoleon Ohio
It is very nice. Every seat in the house is a stadium chair!I can’t believe Miamisburg is not a school that puts their name in to host! By far one of the best Stadiums in the Dayton area! Just a waste not to show off a beautiful stadium.
