The Cars - The Cars (1978)

My Rating: 84.900
rank: 78 (out of 838)

New Wave Rock

Wow, even though I knew all of these songs I had no idea this came out in 1978.... No joke, this debut album is better than their greatest hits album!!!!

I agree 100%. I know it will never happen, but wished they would tour once so I could see them live

96

Vektor - Terminal Redux (2016)

My Ratings: 75.600
rank: 381 (out of 874)

Thrash/Progressive Metal

Vektor's newest album....

Actually the Cars were notorious for being a lousy live act. Saw them one time in the mid '80s and they basically played for only a little over an hour and Rick Ocasek had no charisma as a lead man on stage either. Basically 5 guys standing on a stage playing their tunes like they sound on the album and that's it.

97

Annihilator - Set the World on Fire (1993)

My Ratings: 75.400
rank: 392 (out of 875)

Heavy Metal

This was Annihilator's 3rd album and their 3rd different singer and I see that their 4th album has another singer... Album would of been better without the Ballets. Really liked "Knight jumps Queen".

98

At The Gates - Terminal Spirit Disease (1994)

My Ratings: 77.345
rank: 288 (out of 876)

The Fevered Circle and Blind Forever were the best songs on it...

Bleeding Through - Dust to Ashes (2001)

My Ratings: 66.918
rank: 807 (out of 878)

Metalcore

Bleeding Through's debut album suffers from production values. It just does not sound good at all. There are some good riffs but the keyboard is non-existent.

101

time for the 1979's....

The Clash - London Calling (1979)

My Ratings: 70.532
rank: 691 (out of 879)

Post-Punk

Double album which many believe is to be one of the best of all time... well, I did not care for it and that is likely to do with not caring much for punk. This album sounded too commercial...

Up next is the 1989's... not much here for classic rock but plenty good metal. I already own a bunch from 89 so I will have to see what is left...

Well, I got a request to listen to Destroyer 666 newest album Wildfire. I was told it sounds like Coroner on speed. Well, it sort of does with a pinch of Rigormortis!!!!
