That's kinda what I was thinking MT3, if he tells them it's short term....maybe he just kinda oversees the O which isn't bad either. Either way, hopefully he instills some refreshing ideas in the mind of our current playcaller.

He has coached all of the skill positions at a high level and obviously been an OC and HC so just let him be the CEO of the offense and run the show. Even if it is just for a year.

I kinda get the idea from the interview that AW is being deployed as a interventional specialist, at least in part.

Either way great hire for as long as he chooses. Distinguished WHS alum & former Tiger. Heckuva mentor. Heckuva coach. Will contribute to both. Guaranteed any parent of a Massillon student is simply thrilled at the opportunity of his influence on their kid. Great news!

And credit to Moore too. He gets it, and has the right ego.

Didn't Alex Wood coach at Massillon a few years back maybe under Hall? Seems like he did a one year thing awhile back but just not sure of the year

I think he said he was a volunteer. But I agree he would be a great hire if there's an opening.

Don't remember the year but he worked with Robert Partridge before leaving to coach at Pitt. I think Robert went with him but only for one year.
Are you thinking when he went to Miami U in 2010? I believe Partridge went there as a punter.

If you look at Wood’s resume there is a gap between 2008/2010 so that fits. Not to give all the credit to Wood but Partridge improved a great deal and the team made a nice run in the playoffs.

I could be wrong but I'm pretty sure Partridge was recruited to Miami as a QB not a punter.

You are right they were planning on Pitt but the head coach was fired on New Years Day
But I could be wrong maybe it was just Wood going to Pitt from Miami
Robert also played at ND Cleveland and I think somewhere else I lost track .

I think his next stop was Buffalo after Miami U but either way I hope this isn’t another one year stop back in Massillon for him. He’s obviously getting older now and maybe he is tired of the recruiting grind that is required at the college level.
