You are the Nickelback of internet posters.

whoa, that is a really low blow... It was all fun and games before but man you made me read that name. No one, and I mean no one needs to be reminded of them....

:o

BATTLE ROYALE

Come on Suzanne admit it. You studied film and never heard of this one. That is like a car enthusiast that has never heard of a 69 camaro ....

I have read all three books too. Catching Fire was my favorite. The 3rd book, was my least favorite. It's been a year or so since I read Catching Fire and I'm reading it again now before I go see it in theaters over Thanksgiving weekend. I'm looking forward to it. I enjoyed the first movie, so it sounds like I will enjoy this one too.

see, I think Mockingjay was my favorite. It's certainly the most emotionally gripping and taxing book for the characters.

I'm glad they are splitting it into two movies. I just started re-reading it today, and only 80 pages in there's easily an hour worth of movie they could put in. Plus new scenes like they've added in the first two movies, that have all been flawless additions. Now that the cast is somewhat split location wise, so to speak, there's plenty of quality stuff they could add.

I think it's silly that it's being split up. I hate how Hollywood is doing that for every book. Totally a money-maker, because generally it doesn't help the art. Harry Potter was different because it's a 700+ page book. Hunger Games and Hobbit are shorter books for pre-teens.

Hmmmm.

There is way too much in Mockingjay to fit into one movie... I did think Mockingjay was the best of the 3 because it goes so into the political sides of things but it is completely different. Catching Fire is the better of the two actual hunger games books

I thought the first half of Mockingjay was good. It was like Suzanne Collins just didn't know how to end it so it just got a little over the top and she just got lazy and ended it.

fap away

I'd say high school crowd as far as the content. I'm sure the reading level is lower, they weren't especially well-written books

So, you guys are all ga-ga over a book series written for middle schoolers?

"Did you read Mockingjay?"

Why, did that middle school book blow your mind?

Hunger Games was written for and published by Scholastic for the 6-8th grade readers. If high school/college students are only reading at the 7th grade level, that is very sad.

I'm not talking about reading level, I'm talking about the large majority of people who actually read and enjoy the books. High school and college kids. I'm aware that it's an easy read

Fwiw, I see nothing wrong with reading books written for younger audiences. It's the same thing as enjoying Disney/Pixar movies, which many adults do.
