I feel you and at first Matt Goul made it seem like a doubleheader in the Plain Dealer. NEO gets the tournament wrong from start to finish. Southern Ohio has almost entirely doubleheaders as soon as the district semis start

Every district final game in D1 is at Cintas at Xavier University today. Sounds fun and like a real tournament atmosphere!
What doesn't sound fun is Ignatius vs Jackson in front of 700 people at Kent St. on a Wednesday

Agreed and agreed. Somebody with common sense needs to start making these decisions. At least yall can stream it I guess. Just sucks the kids wont get a better atmosphere

They both won hockey and wrestling on March 9 2019. I think that would be the last time but probably not the only time.

It might just be me but I'm surprised there's not more buzz about possibly St. Ignatius' best basketball team in over 20 years on here.

I haven't seen many of the Cats games, but the combination of Friery and Robinson should make opponents shiver.
Strongsville and Bw hold about 2k. Kent holds almost 6k I believe. My guess is the game will be close to a sellout in Kent. why would you deny 3k people a chance to see this game? its not like Kent is on the other side of the state. its a freaking hour away on a non school night. Kent is perfect Venue for this game

On their website BW says they hold 2,800. I didn't realize Strongsville was that big.
But regarding your point, I don't think they get anywhere close to 3k tomorrow night in Kent. 2k max imo.
Thanks to streaming ( amongst other things), the days of big crowds are over.
When I watched them on tape, the 2 big guys looked a little slow of foot albeit a small sample size. Either Centerville or Moeller should be able to exploit their lack of court speed. Thoroughbreds vs plow horses. GBM

Broadcast their game last night versus Jackson. They were devastating. Friery was sensational, I get why so many Power Fives are recruiting him. Great handles and really runs the floor for a guy 6'10". Robinson was solid, and should make Cleveland State better in the front court. Well-coached team. I was surprised at how explosive off the dribble Woidke is. Anyone who beats them will have earned it.
Even if Brunswick brings the calvary there will not be anywhere near 6k there tomorrow

Does anyone know if Springer will be back for this week or maybe next weekend?
Pretty sure he is not playing vs Brunswick in the regional finals. It's been said in an earlier post that he is out for the season. He's been wearing a boot the last couple of weeks. I believe he played with this injury during essentially all those games in January and February. I recall he injured an ankle in December during the Philly St. Joe Prep game at the Jesuit tournament in Tampa. If the Cats get to the Final 4, who knows what the decision may be. It would be nice to have his 6-7 size, 9 ppg, 5 rpg, 39% 3-point shooting and 79% FT shooting
And the Wildcats beat Centerville by 2 (@ Centerville) whereas Moeller lost by 7 (@ Centerville)

Springer is done from my understanding. Luckily the team is pretty deep. Ellis, Martin, Johnson off the bench is quite the luxury. Those are starters at 95% of schools in the state. Feel for Springer and he definitely seemed like the heart and soul of the team.
Friery is the real deal. Think he has all the tools to be a really good maybe great high level college player.

From what I’ve seen this season, Springer was a major factor in their success. Losing him definitely lowers their chances to win it all
