I actually attended THE Mount St Joseph University :ROFLMAO:!! UC is a stone throw away however! I am now at Case Western Reserve.
Sorry dude, just poking the bear. Had a buddy that dropped out of Wayne State Medical Physics program and went to CWR for Mech Eng. We joked that he could build a bridge, but I could calculate a biological half live of radium. Yeaper, the bourbon backyard bon fires were and are a hoot. :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO: Retirement is wonderful!

I see ME, MU, Riverside fairly solid in their school size and competitive status. Pick your poison when getting into private schools and what they bring. @BBfan61 hates the privates and so be it and he my be correct when aligning private into public...I get it. Fact, SCC will never be beyond a D6/D7 school but that WILL NOT be the case with GCC.
To be fair, I don't like them, and I'm happy to excluded them from hypothetical conferences. I don't hate them.

I think the big issue is with larger private schools. The recruiting is bad. The smaller guys like Lehman, TC, SCC aren’t really an issue. Lehman used to be, and TC somewhat. In the ugger picture, they really aren’t that much of an issue. Look at the competitive level of these schools. Milton has been in leagues with all three and outside of Lehman football under Chuck Asher and wrestling under Goudy at TC, they’re really not that competitive.

Are you serious? Greenview has been really good of late, what incentive does Tipp or Bellbrook have to schedule Versailles and Marion Local? A win against a 9-1 Greenview is going to give Xenia more points than a win vs a 1-9 Beavercreek. And it’s not like points even exactly matter anymore with 16 teams making the playoffs.
OMG...did you not post the below on the MVL thread?

"Tipp plays a schedule full of schools much bigger than them (Tipp is the second smallest school in the league). And have played and beaten one of the best teams in region 12 (Bellbrook, Regional Finalist this year) in their only out of conference game, each of the last 4 seasons, and had played Mt. Healthy in 2019. Tipp was in the final 4 two years ago and was the #1 seed last year. They’ve scheduled Versailles who won a state title a couple of years ago in their only OOC game in 2027. I think Tipp is doing just fine with scheduling. Those are all just facts but I’m sure facts aren’t something your looking for.
Looks like Tipp will be playing up against a D1 school this year anyway!"

Does narcissism make into your vocabulary of why you are a dumbarse?

Dude, stick to Tipp and the reasons why they can't.......(fill in the blanks)...

FYI, you were baited into this nonsense.....

Regardless of who it is (it's out there), I find it a little crazy that we still have 2 more football seasons before any of it happens. Plenty of time for additional changes or for other conferences to regroup. Unless the OHC kicks Greenon early and expedites the addition of a new member, which I doubt, none of this will take effect until the current Freshmen are Seniors.

Greenon going to the CBC is very puzzling. I know it's because of money, but the Knights couldn't compete in the OHC South, they'll get clobbered in the CBC Mad River.

FYI, Reading comprehension is key. Anyone can see that was a rhetorical question. Right under asking what incentive does Bellbrook and Tipp have for playing Versailles and Marion Local, I said Xenia would get more points for beating a 9-1 Greenview than a 1-9 Beavercreek. The entire thread I was advocating for Xenia to play Greenview .Not the own you think buddy. Obviously I’ve done something to get under your skin, I hope you can get that figured out. All love

Most years I’m not sure there’s really that big of a difference. Usually you get 1-2 quality MR teams a year — whether Shawnee, North Union, or somebody like Indian Lake. In the OHC South you get Greeneview. Everybody else is for the most part usually not very good, although lately the lesser MR teams have probably been a little better than the lesser OHC South teams.

Hell in some other sports (I.e. boys basketball) there have been several years recently where I’d argue the OHC South has been significantly stronger top to bottom than the MR division.

Hopefully an announcement is made soon!

Let’s take a vote…
Pick 1 for CBC and 1 for OHC. Who’s your picks?

1. Riverside
2. Miami East
3. Milton-Union

Mine,
OHC- Riverside (culturally they fit)
CBC- Miami East (geographically they fit)
Milton needs to really hope the WOAC or SWBL comes through.

Miami East was also previously in the CBC.

The OHC has made its fit.

Good analysis, though. My guess is the WOAC and TRC merge and go big/small divisions. Just a guess.

CBC has an even number, no reason they would take only 1. It would be 2 or nothing.

Take Miami East and Milton, put them in the Mad River, and then move Shawnee to the KT and you have 8 big/8 small. Crossovers can be eliminated

But is the CBC looking to expand further? I actually think going to 8/8 each side isn’t a bad move..

I’d have added all 3 to the OHC personally. But for purpose of your question:

OHC: Miami East
CBC: Milton Union

I still think WLS could be swayed, especially if Miami East is added to the MRD.

Indian Lake
Ben Logan
Northwestern
Graham
North Union
Shawnee

WLS is basically “centrally” located amongst those schools and the furthest trip is the 40 minute drive to NU.

someday, i’d love to see a division of:

West Liberty Salem
Indian Lake
Ben Logan
North Union
Urbana
Graham

swap Graham for Fairbanks, or North Union for Miami East, depending on what footprint you want.

i don’t think it would get much better than that in terms of similarity and stability.

If it's North Union and Fairbanks, I bet Pleasant and Buckeye Valley would be salivating to make that a full 8 team league.

Well, clearly not too many people here are excited about it “potentially” (awaiting formal announcement before celebrating) being Riverside added to the league, I think Pirate fans will be excited.

Any thoughts on divisional breakdowns for when/if they join? Obviously the easy answer is Riverside to the North, NE probably to the south? Any thoughts on the league staying with geographical split, or move to enrollment split?

I am being told that it will either be Northeastern or West Jefferson moved to the south. Not sure how that will be determined.

Geographically, West Jefferson should (barely) be in the south.
