MCK 2023

I am not making predictions in the month of March, regarding won-lost records. Nevertheless, as I have stated in previous posts, during the past several weeks, the Canton McK Offensive Line is major concern, due heavy graduations and lack of overall depth in the OL positions on last year's JV squad. Any QB, at any program, will struggle to consistently perform at a high level, without proper pass protection and the O Line opening holes for the running backs. This upcoming season may find Rode running for his life from strong and well coached defensive schemes.
I noticed on Hudl McK has 3 guys near 300lbs listed as OL. No clue if they’re returning starters or if they’re any good but those are some big kids.

Canton experiences the same waves of talent any other school of similar demographic make up experiences.
And hey lets face it - there has never been any good week 10 opponent teams without recruited Canton kids starting for them - for whatever reason.

You loons all better hope Hall isn't successful, if he keeps kids from going to any number of places and they stay together then we may see a power house team. I like that Canton just needs to keep their talent and not have to be so heavily dependent upon Akron talent recruited in or neighboring district kids recruited in like another school does.

Because a team of just Canton kids is ALWAYS GREATER THAN a team of just kids.

You mods can take this trash out of our discussion as no Bulldog wants their opinions.

GO BULLDOGS
I just saw that one of their top players in 8th grade Basketball and football team is going to Akron St.Vincents St. Mary there's not too much Hall can do these kids have options now look at the safety of the school's and to be honest don't like the system at McKinley the Old McKinley ways don't work anymore we living under a different system at McKinley IJS

It's a shame what's happening in America's inner city's. These private schools can offer better education in a safer environment. Hence the parochial dominance. The voucher system makes this more detrimental. But hey, We get to watch our public school systems go to hell in a hand basket daily.

That's a cop out. If that was the case every inner city kid in Ohio would go to St. Vincent or the local AAU team or private school. I'll bet you if the Hoban coaching staff was at McKinley they wouldn't leave.

I disagree. My alumni has lost several kids to these stalking privates. It's just the nature of the beast. The system puts these schools in a position to dominate any sport they choose.

All city schools can hope for is an outstanding class, a few stars to show up on their doorstep and then maybe, if they are extremely lucky they might have a snowballs chance in he'll. Is that enough cliche's for you 😏

A couple of McKinley alum are coaching or have coached at Hoban.

You’re right. But there are a few publics that bring in loads of top talent. Glenville, Massillon, and Pick Central to name a few. And two of them have won states. I think it’s becoming less of a private/public issue and more kids wanting to play for specific coaches and right now in NEO that’s Ginn and Moore.
There is a lot of talent that transfers in.
The biggest difference is the unsung heroes which the privates consistently have/transfer in -is the offensive and defensive line.

This is coming from an Alumnis Canton McKinley football won't be relevant until they get out the Federal League play a tougher schedule...Beat Massillon and make deep runs in the playoffs the last two seasons we have seen them lose at least five games in the regular season this is not the Canton McKinley I remember Just my thoughts

But they also lose to federal league teams.
