True.He wasn’t too young to take Maple Heights to two Title games and win one. And why wouldn’t he succeed “in the town by the river “.

I noticed on Hudl McK has 3 guys near 300lbs listed as OL. No clue if they’re returning starters or if they’re any good but those are some big kids.I am not making predictions in the month of March, regarding won-lost records. Nevertheless, as I have stated in previous posts, during the past several weeks, the Canton McK Offensive Line is major concern, due heavy graduations and lack of overall depth in the OL positions on last year's JV squad. Any QB, at any program, will struggle to consistently perform at a high level, without proper pass protection and the O Line opening holes for the running backs. This upcoming season may find Rode running for his life from strong and well coached defensive schemes.
Big no doubt, but 5'7" 300 lbs is different than 6'5" 300 lbs. Which are they?I noticed on Hudl McK has 3 guys near 300lbs listed as OL. No clue if they’re returning starters or if they’re any good but those are some big kids.
Lol that’s true. The ones listed were 6’3 6’2 and 6’4Big no doubt, but 5'7" 300 lbs is different than 6'5" 300 lbs. Which are they?
I just saw that one of their top players in 8th grade Basketball and football team is going to Akron St.Vincents St. Mary there's not too much Hall can do these kids have options now look at the safety of the school's and to be honest don't like the system at McKinley the Old McKinley ways don't work anymore we living under a different system at McKinley IJSCanton experiences the same waves of talent any other school of similar demographic make up experiences.
And hey lets face it - there has never been any good week 10 opponent teams without recruited Canton kids starting for them - for whatever reason.
You loons all better hope Hall isn't successful, if he keeps kids from going to any number of places and they stay together then we may see a power house team. I like that Canton just needs to keep their talent and not have to be so heavily dependent upon Akron talent recruited in or neighboring district kids recruited in like another school does.
Because a team of just Canton kids is ALWAYS GREATER THAN a team of just kids.
You mods can take this trash out of our discussion as no Bulldog wants their opinions.
GO BULLDOGS
With that week schedule if they don't finish better than 8-2 that whole Staff needs to be fired lolMcKinley will only go as far as their QB will take them. I do think they beat Perry though.
That's a cop out. If that was the case every inner city kid in Ohio would go to St. Vincent or the local AAU team or private school. I'll bet you if the Hoban coaching staff was at McKinley they wouldn't leave.I just saw that one of their top players in 8th grade Basketball and football team is going to Akron St.Vincents St. Mary there's not too much Hall can do these kids have options now look at the safety of the school's and to be honest don't like the system at McKinley the Old McKinley ways don't work anymore we living under a different system at McKinley IJS
You're exactly right, people complain about the privates but like you said it's the system.I disagree. My alumni has lost several kids to these stalking privates. It's just the nature of the beast. The system puts these schools in a position to dominate any sport they choose.
A couple of McKinley alum are coaching or have coached at Hoban. That's a cop out. If that was the case every inner city kid in Ohio would go to St. Vincent or the local AAU team or private school. I'll bet you if the Hoban coaching staff was at McKinley they wouldn't leave.
Have McKinley with open enrollment and the Hoban coach or similar from a really good private school and McKinley will have 5 to 10 kids come to McKinley and lose nobody. Same with basketball.A couple of McKinley alum are coaching or have coached at Hoban.
The Clark kids and the Crable kids would qualify as several, no?How do you define several kids?
Unless your name is Webster I don’t think it matters what you consider it be. Several : More than two but less than many. Not really. I don’t consider 4-5 players to be several.
3 Clark boys and 2 Crable boys (I think there’s more boys in that family as well) so that’s 5 so far just in two families. Also just had 2 kids go to CentralNot really. I don’t consider 4-5 players to be several.
There is a lot of talent that transfers in.You’re right. But there are a few publics that bring in loads of top talent. Glenville, Massillon, and Pick Central to name a few. And two of them have won states. I think it’s becoming less of a private/public issue and more kids wanting to play for specific coaches and right now in NEO that’s Ginn and Moore.
It's like a circus came to town, one follows the other...BAM!Soooo…back to McKinley in 2023?
BAM!Soooo…back to McKinley in 2023?
You are right. I apologize. This is a McKinley thread.Soooo…back to McKinley in 2023?
Right, but we're talking about the system.Glenville and Massillon are publics and over the last few years they’ve bought in a TON of talent.
Bought or BroughtGlenville and Massillon are publics and over the last few years they’ve bought in a TON of talent.
One of the most diplomatic statements I have read....lol....who follows who....lolIt's like a circus came to town, one follows the other...BAM!
Lol.bought - the former recruits have not kept things quiet
GO MCK - seeing some info on our dogs looks like they are working hard at weights!!!
That’s ok. McKinley is getting it together. We’re putting all the pieces together.Lol.
And basketball is next!MCK thread
I am a MCK fan
Don't need the trash on here talking or hating.
GO DOGS
and yes I am hearing good things - a solid program being built and ran.
But they also lose to federal league teams. This is coming from an Alumnis Canton McKinley football won't be relevant until they get out the Federal League play a tougher schedule...Beat Massillon and make deep runs in the playoffs the last two seasons we have seen them lose at least five games in the regular season this is not the Canton McKinley I remember Just my thoughts
