March Madness Thread

That just makes me think he’s in the 6’1”-6’2” range even more.

A hobby I like to do when I watch basketball games is observe players when they are standing on the sides during free throw attempts and look at them and how they stack up to the opposing team.

It’s the most accurate visual you’re going to get when watching a basketball game of accurate player heights. I then cross reference the players from the other team vs most times Ohio State or whatever team I’m pulling for

You are correct on some players though. Bruce Thornton is listed at 6’2 when he’s lucky if he’s 6’1. Mobley is listed at 6’1 when he’s lucky if he’s 6 feet. Both very small guards who both are not explosive at all

USC’s coach is a moron. She hurt her ankle pretty good and then put her back in the game while up 40. She was limping when she finally got off the court. 2 days later she tore her acl.
Women’s basketball you should always pull stars early in blowouts given the elevated difference in suffering knee injuries between women and men.

USC coach f’ed up. Probably cost them a legit chance at a national championship.

Duke big man might be deported:

Duke men’s basketball player Khaman Maluach is among those who could be impacted by the State Department’s ruling around South Sudanese passport holders in the US.

On Saturday, Secretary of State Marco Rubio announced in a post on X that he would be “taking actions to revoke all visas held by South Sudanese passport holders and to restrict any further issuance to prevent entry into the United States, effective immediately.”

I’m pulling for Houston but think Florida wins. They were my pick when it started and I think Houston maybe spent a bit to much in their comeback against Duke. Gators take it 69-67.

Jake Diebler should pay Kelvin Sampson whatever it takes to take a month long course on how to coach defense. The way Houston helps, slides their feet, are low and in good defensive stances, and challenges jump shots is just amazing. Love the way they play defense

Houston’s bigs play so much bigger than they are. Just so impressive and they are super athletic.

Clayton a non-factor, forcing shots. Condon and Haugh need to look to shoot more instead of pass. Quite a few of their turnovers are due to them handling the ball.

I don't want to speak too soon but Clayton is starting to show some holes. He's got good size for a guard but Houston is picking him up at half court (great call by Sampson) and making him work all around the court and he really doesn't have the explosiveness to beat Houston off the bounce. He definitely is no Shabazz Napier or Kemba Walker

Can the refs calm down and let this be decided on floor? It's a title, of course emotions high. And I say this as someone pulling for HOU

I respect all of the reviews that the officials do to get the right call, but it seems like they review everything. Some of these calls are no-brainer calls that they are reviewing. All it does is extend the game and give the coaches additional timeouts.

Florida about to win their 3rd title in the 21st century which is absolutely unbelievable and Ohio State can’t even make the freaking tournament. No reason that OSU can’t be what Florida currently is. No reason at all

Florida is doing to Houston what Houston did to Duke. Trail most of the game and win it at the end. Discalimer, sent with 19.7 left
