D7 R25 2024

They play football at The Lue?!
True Crime What GIF by Dateline NBC
I was surprised myself.

Calpreps:
regular season (neutral field)
[2024] Whiteford (Ottawa Lake, MI) 28 (73%), [2024] Lucas (OH) 19 (27%)
Ok. If we are an underdog, I think we have a shot at the upset. One thing is certain, with both teams running
double wing/wing-T, this game will be over fast.

I just read earlier this week that Whiteford has won 4 consecutive regional championships, and have one title
(2022) and one runner-up (2023) during that span. They also won state in 2017 and were runner-up in 2016.
Quite an amazing run, no doubt.

Thats impressive, but, it’s still in Michigan, right? Kind of a ‘tallest midget’ thing…

Pick a side Mr play for the K. The K only counts for football? Your former players that occasionally you got something good to say good bout on here see right thru it. So do the parents the that have been here for 4 years.
The K temp is talking about is separate. Pound the rock. Play stout D. Old school coaching. Talk honest to the players. So yeah it’s different. Good Luck in the playoffs. Anyone’s region.

If you win, looks like you'll be playing JFK.
There's more shuffling to be done yet after tonight and then we'll know for sure. Lucas and NSP share several of the projected matchups, assuming NSP loses.

If Lucas gets Kennedy in the first round I think the Cubs have a legitimate shot. Play in the trenches is the Eagles biggest weakness. Labrae went to a modified t in the second half and pummeled them. Last night LUE kept hitting big plays off tackle. Kennedy doesn't play the traps and kickouts well at all.

St Paul knocks off Monroeville 29-28 two point conv with no time left
No undefeated teams left in R25 now. Shocking upset but there’s been some great ones over the years between these two rivals. This game was in Monroeville too so I thought they would clock NSP.

Monroeville had a great 10 game season, even with the loss last night. They only trailed one time the whole season, for 10 seconds in week 4 against Ashland Crestview. In the NSP game they never trailed during regulation, still ahead by 1 when time ran out, but NSP converted the 2 point attempt with no time left for the win. Congrats to Monroeville for turning around their program which was 0-10 2 years ago. It looks like they'll likely be playing Independence.

1st round matchups are set:

WR vs Crestline
Hillsdale vs Fairport
Malvern vs Lucas
Monroeville vs Independence
JFK vs EP
McDonald vs Lowellville
Windham vs Southern
St Paul vs CH

The 2 intriguing games to me is Malvern vs Lucas and St Paul vs CH. Think we see lopsided affairs in the rest.

I expect St Paul and CH to be a battle, with the winner having a legitimate shot at WR.
Windham will have their hands full.
Lucas may give Malvern a game but feel Malvern pulls away in second half.
I heard today that Warren JFK had significant injuries in the Lutheran East game, could very well have an impact.

Other than that I expect very lopsided games, 2nd round could be fun. Good luck to all that made it.

That sound you hear? It's the Marion Local train starting their trek to Canton to collect their trophy.

Kennedy already had a ton.of guys not dressed during the game. If they had injuries then they are in trouble. I know the QB went down late in the game but not sure how serious it was though.

Malvern will throw all over Lucas.

Not sure who said it earlier, but Hillsdale is still the team to beat in the region. It was true before Friday night and it's probably more true now that they got punked at home and have a chip on their shoulder.
