1 and 0 against Elder.
Elder has been embarrassed by Moeller for half a decade. What are they? 1-5 over the past 6 years? Elders a great football program...but what they need to do is just 'Shut-Up' when they're talkin' trash.

In all fairness, EP's the only one trash talking. He's not even that big of an Elder fan, his kids go to Walnut Hills for Christ Sake.
I said before the 2014 season started that all those coachs moving on would hurt the program. I think i'm on to something season.
Not only that the fans seems content with mediocre and a bad defense which someone is allowing it to happen game after game.. Please keep all defense staff were they're at cant coach talent! Great at hollering at kids. Seen it firsthand against us at Nippert. Goodluck fixing that mess.lol
You guys should ban Nva from this board.
I also heard that we are playing Lakota West for the next 2 yrs. Anyone else hear that?
The Florida team went 7-3 this year. Not sure about Fla. playoffs. Look to be a D-3 team in Florida. Looks like they played an all private school schedule. They have a very good young running back #8. I believe he will be a Jr next year. If we are fortunate enough to win, should bring in more Harbins than Canada.
Their head coach is the former OC at powerhouse St. Thomas Aquinas in Ft. Lauderdale. They are good. This will be a very good game for Moeller.
Moe returns a good nucleus of talent. 3 road graters on the OL, an excellent TE, a QB who saw some quality playing time. A good group of skilled RB's and some talent at WR. They most glaring need will be to replace a 3 year kicker. Moe should be able to score some points.
Defense will be the key to 2016. Some good players return, but many will have to be replaced, especially the secondary. I hear there is some talent coming up. Hopefully it will be enough to field a solid D. If so, Moeller will be a handful again in 2016.
Anyone care to add their thoughts on next years squad?? GBM
The most glaring need will be to replace a kicker who struggled mightily in his Senior season? Get real. Also, what good players will have to be replaced in the Secondary? We aren't losing any good players there besides Burandt at Safety. Good safetys seem to be much more prevalent at Moe than good corners over the years. We definitely need some guys to step up and take ownership of those starting positions in the secondary (mainly the Corner positions), which was a huge weakness last season. We're losing two good linebackers in Raga and Griga, but again Linebacker seems to be a position Moe just reloads at every season and I'm sure we'll be fine there. Same with DL, we are losing a few guys like Jack Meyer, but I think we'll be OK there.
It will be interesting to see who takes the two open starting positions on the O-line, there should be good competition for those spots. Both upcoming Senior QB's are more than capable of leading this team to a GCL title and we should feel good about them. We need some WR's to step up. It seems for the past two seasons we've really missed having that 'go-to' #1 WR on the outside that defenses have to account for (Madaris, Gentry, etc.), and it has limited what we can do offensively. Buford seems to have gotten a lot of hype about his abilities but it hasn't translated over to the Varsity field yet. Also, can we all be honest and say Matt Dotson didn't have as good a season as he is capable of this past year? I know he was injured at the beginning of the season but when he came back he just never seemed to be at his best. He needs to step up and have a big Senior season if this team is going to get back to competing for a state championship.

Do you have room to talk? You completely abandoned the westside and aren't sending kids to Elder either
The kicker is far important than you would think. When McVittie was injured, look at the games we lost. Lost by 2 to Wayne... Cogs missed how many in that game? Lost in OT to LaSalle... Cogs missed a 15 yard chip shot with 12 seconds left. What was he... 3 for 15 on the season or along those lines? Either one of the afformentioned games would have put Moe into the playoffs. As for d line... you're losing more than Meyer. Hensley actually had more tackles than Meyer. Those two made up the D line when you look at tackles. How many did the other end have? The other tackle? The O line... again going to struggle to replace Houseman on the end. The qb situation... I don't even know their names, but the 3rd stringer placed much more securely than the back up when I saw them. And in truth neither were near McVittie or previous two year qbs. And with this year's vanilla offense play calling, next year may be a repeat of this one. Just not looking very bright to me.
I didn't say the kicker position is not important. I said the most glaring need/weakness on this team is NOT replacing the departing Senior kicker who went 3-15 on field goals on the season. People like you and the poster who said replacing Coghlin would be the most glaring need crack me up. It's as if you think mentioning the value of the kicker makes it look like you have a clue about football, and you go out of your way to do so. Hensley was a solid player for sure, but I don't think we'll have a tough time replacing him. Meiser and Hawkins the upcoming Junior will likely be the two starting DT's and I think we'll be better at that position than we were last season.
Also, don't see how you can rush to any sort of judgment on the 2 upcoming QB's since we only saw each of them play about 2 quarters of football against the best team in Ohio south of Cleveland. I thought both of them looked good but agree that neither will be a high Division 1 recruit like MacVittie.
Don't flatter yourself. I saw a chance to rip Pboy and took it.

Where did I say replacing a 3 for 15 kicker is the most glaring need for next year? Did I say that? No, I didnt. I pointed out how if that 3 for 15 kicker had the kind of year he had LAST year it would have changed Moe's playoff results... people like you who misread or simply don't understand what you read crack me up.
Second... you agree that neither qb upcoming is McVittie caliber... I don't need to see them play that much at all to see that fact. I don't care if they were playing the best team south of Cleveland. In fact, the best team south of Cleveland only won by 2... missed field goals and McVittie would have changed that outcome dramatically. Exactly as I said and exactly as another poster pointed out how important a solid kicking game is.
Third... you state Hensley was "solid"... that solid player lead the D line in tackles over even over Meyer... who was named GCL something-or-other. The other DT... who? The other end? Who? Exactly. I've seen Hawkins at practice. Better at that position? No. Not even close. Meiser I know personally. Great kid. But Hawkins and Meiser are simply no where near the athletes Hensley and Meyer are. Meyer and Hensley made up the D line. Unless something changes, I doubt you'll be "fine" at that position.
Fourth... you totally ignored my remarks about the coaching. IMO... vanilla at best when it came to offense. McVittie was a playmaker, and it showed. Without him, we lose to Elder. That's pretty obvious. And Moeller has its first losing season. When looking at the head coach, years from start to finish, the rise in wins coincides with hires and the decline coincides with departures. Go ahead. Take an honest look at that aspect.
Everybody wants to think their kids class is going to be better than the class above. I know we did. And that's fine. No shame in that. But given the coaching this year, the lack of talent in the secondaries, the lack of rising stars in linebackers (said yourself you couldn't name any replacements for Griega, Raga), the lack of a D1 qb, and the step down in a couple other areas I'd say Moe needs to take a hard look at what's happening. I love Moe football. But to tie for the worse record ever and then say the next class is better is ridiculous. If they were... they would have played over every player you mentioned. The fact is, they werent.
BTW, "road grater lineman" is grossly incorrect. "GRATER" is an ice cream company I think. A road GRADER is a machine that sets grade to a road or building pad. I know. I run one.

Rabbit was the poster who said 'road grater lineman", not me. By the way "GRAETER" is an ice cream company, "GRATER" is a kitchen tool used to shred cheese. I know. I'm fat.
