Youngstown Area Coaching Changes

The grey tier is by far better than the Scarlett tier and Springfield will have more meaningful games in conference play than in the past. They are probably thinking that they are D7 and will make the playoffs no matter what each year so let's get more harder games on the schedule to prepare for the postseason and the easiest way to do that is to get into a tougher league/tier. Now that Brookfield is a conference game it allows them to go schedule another tough non-conference game while having that tough game (Brookfield) in conference.
They are not leaving, both are staying in their tiers

So, I think South Range is the only Youngstown area school still to fill the head coaching position. Am I missing anyone?

Does Andy Hake get a second chance at a public school and return to his alma mater?!? Should be an interesting offseason in the Y-town area.
Any school that actually cares about its program and its overall reputation doesn’t come near this clown. Whether or not people agree, guy used an illegal substance at the time while he’s supposed to be responsible for kids.

Agreed. He shouldn't be coaching now.

Hake would run from Valley to get to Ridge if it was offered. He’s maxed out VC and their 22 team is the best you’ll get out of that program. Ridge is so much better of a situation. Not a fan of his, but he’d have Ridge looking like 2010s Reserve in short order.

We’ll see what Ridge does and if they overlook his history. If they don’t, former Liberty head coach Chet Allen was on staff this past year, he could be an option.

Anybody compiling a list?
Officially:
Newton Falls
Campbell
Jackson Milton

Potentially:
Waterloo
Mineral Ridge
Mooney (no real evidence other than Coach is always in the news and they haven't played to Mooney standards lately)

Waterloo is officially open

A wild theory that I would love to see unfold.... BC bitter rivals are JM.... JM has a head coach opening. Andy has deep, deep hatred for BCWR....... Andy to Jackson Milton for the ultimate troll job of the century!

Book it! (Just kidding, but seriously this thread would implode if Hake went to JM)

Also heard Mamula from Lowellville was on the verge of stepping down, nothing official yet

That would be interesting but I'm not sure if Nick Saban would be able to win at JM in the short term, they got some rough years ahead (barring transfers coming in).

As far as Mamula, that is interesting. He has a good overall record, maybe he is going to try to get a different job? Even with their low numbers this year and losing Perry + most of their line, I think Lowellville has enough decent players coming back they could get to 5 or so wins next year.
